959 - The Bopper’s Lair (8/11/25)

Something I did way back in 2005 that went through a number of iterations. This is the fourth and final of those, done in 2007. This is a great example of the slickly- (but not overly-)produced cinematic synth-rock style I love so much. This is the closest thing I have to a "default" style of music.

Originally, this was for an internet contest at the VGMusic.com forums, which it WON, which is surprising since it was put up against some (in my opinion) much worthier competition, including tracks by people who are now paid professionals in the video game industry.

And to be fair, I had plenty of help. Dano Kablamo (today of Primsic Studios) collaborated with me to a fair degree on the rhythm parts, and also performed the drum, bass, and guitar parts. Russell Davis (who today runs the Music Room in Oklahoma City) played the saxophone, and Dave McKerley (may he rest in peace) let me use his excellent Nightfall Productions recording facility.
