We're proud to share ‘Tides’ by Silent Jay & Jace XL, the second track from our debut label compilation Volume 1 out this August 18!

The single, delivered by Melbourne-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Silent Jay and vocalist Jace XL (Hiatus Kaiyote), captures the distinct combination of innovative production and honest and authentic poetry the pair are becoming so increasingly renowned for. 

Silent Jay & Jace XL join a long list of some of the most forward-thinking local artists featured on Volume 1. From pop tracks to funk soul to ambient house, the compilation features another 12 unreleased tracks including songs from Sampa The Great, Mondo Freaks and Tim Shiel that represent every corner of the burgeoning underground electronic music scene of Australia. 

Silent Jay & Jace XL - Tides

Hailing from Utrecht in the Netherlands, Feiertag has predominantly released on Boogie Angst where he has honed a loose, natural and balmy sound that lends him perfectly to a release on The Enigma Corporation. 

His 'Uncanny Valley' single brings forth a sound fans old and new will relish - an opulent blend of live instrumentation, glassy synths and rich, summery chords which come backed up with a remix from fellow Boogie Angst affiliate Moods. 

'Uncanny Valley' unfolds like a live jam. Chirping synths and rich, bubbling sequences pour colour over live drums and nifty vocal cuts before Moods offers a loose-limbed take on the original. Kicks and bass guitar stay firmly in the pocket while jazz chords and sax flashes build a vibe that Eglo and Tartelet fans will certainly enjoy. 

Label, management, publishing and branding solution - The Enigma Corporation are a collective prioritising the quality and creativity of their artists. The NY based group have so far released 3 EPs comprised of music from Mak & Pasteman, Twin Pines and Ogris Debris and for their 4th EP they welcome back label favourite Feiertag for his first solo outing on the label.

We’re overjoyed to announce the first release on COJA will be from Leeds quartet Atlas, who will be delivering their ‘Feel Me / Don’t Explain’ EP on 12” and DL from the 14 January.

Centered around the dense production work of Luke Fantom and Rem Sutton, the intimate vocals of Emily Harris are perfectly poised in the group’s electronic modus operandi. These two fresh cuts for COJA see the band confidently growing into the nocturnal post-garage landscapes debuted on their ‘Cities EP’ via Symbols Records earlier in the year, finding uncharted dancefloor territories for the spectral voices that prevail throughout the band’s output. In addition to ‘Feel Me’ and ‘Don’t Explain’, the band have outsourced ‘Feel Me’ for the remix treatment, with Bam Spacey, Luvian and The Soft all set to bring their own interpretations of the track to the table.
