#chromecontest A playlist containing every track I could find on 20/05/2025 for the Moonboy Chrome Contest - I made this so we can all listen to every entry in a single convenient place. I tried to put in order of plays. Mine wasn’t that popular it was just shared on a repost site. My personal favourite was DKON - Voices, but I also liked Simko and Foxanayn and some others too. Soooo hard to decide as I listened I kept changing my mind which was best 🤣

How awesome is it that we’ve created FOUR HOURS of fresh content 😎 that’s super cool IMO and some absolute bangers in here. Hopefully y’all stick around in the discord as it’s been so nice meeting and connecting with you all, and just meeting other people making electronic dance music. I’m sure there will be collabs and friendships forged in this.

For my track I think I might come near top 10 if I’m lucky, hoping if they play 10 I might be #10 😭😂 seriously though I think top 3 above names I’ve guessed correctly but anxious to see if Moonboy agrees with me. That VOICES track really is something else and the others are too. It’s all subjective though 😎 There’s soo many good ones I’ve not even listened to all of them yet. RIP Moonboy who prob gonna have 8 hours back to back listening ☠️ Big love everyone ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I really pushed myself on this track to make sure every layer, transition, and detail hit just right. It’s full of energy and built to keep you locked in from start to finish. SURVIVE THIS

#chromecontest This is my competition entry using sounds only from Moonboy Chrome Pack. I’m not 💯 happy with it yet…. but are we ever?? 😭😂 I did find it hard to stick to just one pack of sounds without making something similar to the tracks they’re from… I actually spent about 15 hours on a piece of trash attempt at some experimental dubstep but then I scrapped it when I realised it’s taken me 3 months to learnt to make tolerable DnB 😂 so I stuck to what I know and made a DnB track. The sounds are all 100% from the Moonboy chrome sample pack and i can prove in my DAW. I put some of the sounds through Rift and used the usual automation, panning etc etc. For the melody I used one shots on my midi keyboard. I believe the main lead is Boo Bass with an FX filter from Rift which I cant remember the name of rn. If I get time around work, kids and life etc before the deadline then I’ll update with a new file and full track ASAP. I included the first drop because I recall rules states to make the hardest drop. I don’t think mine is the hardest tbh but I just felt a connection with the melody and vocals and kinda went with it. Hopefully I can improve it before the 30th May deadline but have 2 kids and a full time job so time is very limited these days!! 🥲

Ps sorry for lower quality mastering etc. I’m a novice producer and only making music for 3 months. I’m using a cheap, tiny midi keyboard and JBL headphones. Making DnB is my favourite hobby and I would LOVE to hear anything of mine played in a Moonboy video. Having followed him since starting my music journey I’d probably pass out on the spot 😂 but also to win a decent keyboard would be a dream as that’s my goal… to get a good keyboard and convince my misses to let me spend [insert unreasonable amount of money here] on some proper headphones 🙏

I’m an app/web developer by trade. I’m hoping to invest more into my music in the future when I have more time 🙏

I started in Feb 2025 so I’m still learning and I have a low budget setup so please excuse my lower quality mastering and mistakes during my learning as I go… I’d say I’m bordering “tolerable” now 😂 some of my first tracks made a few months ago really are quite poor quality… the production, design, everything, but I’m leaving them here because I want to reflect on them in future in the hope I can hear some development or progress as I am determined to keep going. I want to make music that makes people dance and have fun, to spread positive vibes and good emotions.

I will keep trying hard to make things people love. I don’t make any money from my music it’s all purely for enjoyment of you, me and anyone who listens 😎

If you ever play my tracks in a DJ set etc then please send me video or link 🙏 I’ve never seen people dance to my music or it to be played anywhere.

UPDATE: Moonboy played a track I made for a competition in his live stream which was the first time my music was ever played like that 🙏🙏 Thanks everyone
