Javier began studying music at the age of 4 and by the time he was 21, his music had already been played on all continents. Based in Cologne since 2019, his recent commisions include the chamber opera "Waldmensch" about climate change by Theater Bielefeld, with libretto by Manfred Weiß (Staatsoper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, Staatsoper Stuttgart...) and staging by Robert Lehmeier (Neuköllner Oper Berlin, Theater Chemnitz...), which will be premiered in May 2021. His work "Melancholia" for the Moebius quartet was premiered in Strasbourg at the 17th World Saxophone Congress and Festival, and recorded for the Album L'actuel, published by La má de Guido in 2017. He also was the co-author of a work based on the Athem of Asturias, commissioned by the Parliament of the Principality of Asturias for its premiere at the ceremony celebrating the XL Anniversary of the Spanish Constitution.

In addition he has worked regularly as an arranger and orchestrator (Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, City of Oviedo Wind Orchestra...), collaborating with figures such as: Rozalén, nominated for two Latin Grammy awards in 2018; Bombai, No. 1 in the Spain Top 40 Singles Chart in 2017; Falete, renowned figure of flamenco and copla; Brenda Holloway, American singer of the legendary Motown label; Kase.O, considered the greatest figure of Spanish hip-hop; Joana Amendoeira, Portuguese fado singer; Riau Rhythm, Indonesian folk band; Driss El Maloumi, Jordi Savall's lutenist; Joaquín Pixán, tenor who shared the stage with Alfredo Kraus and Montserrat Caballé, etc.

His compositional language is influenced by symphonic tradition, sound art, postmodern art, conceptualism, action art and by musical genres such as electronic music, jazz and traditional music from other cultures. It is also dotted with improvisation, opposition to the concert format, reflection on the current function of artistic creation, interaction with other arts and the breaking of any boundaries. Currently he is studying a Master's Degree in Composition with Brigitta Muntendorf in the Cologne University of Music and Dance.
