French-Canadian singer, multi-instrumentalist, poet and producer Emjay is ready to make her mark on the music scene. As her debut release on major streaming platforms, Street Lights is an emotional ballad that tugs at a deep, universal sense of nostalgia.

The stripped down arrangement of piano, vocals, and flowing harmonies evokes the sounds of Patrick Watson or Sufjan Stevens and creates a calm and dream-like soundscape for the listener to lose themselves in. Street Lights is a soothing ode to an inner child that was lost long ago.

Inspired by a simple, loving phrase many of us heard from our parents as children "Come home before the street lights turn on!" Emjay turned inward and created an audiovisual poem sung from herself to herself.

The transient reality of youth is boldly brought to life through her unique cover art which presents Emjay around age five, complemented by repurposed and scanned handwriting from this same, precious age. Street Lights carries the listener through a gentle lullaby, sure to make an impact.

This is an original song, 'Autumn Waltz.'
I challenged myself to create a piano-based track, which I haven't done much before.
This is the arrangement for piano and ensemble.
Due to the lack of a suitable contrabass preset, I used 'AnalogBass2,' and for orchestral percussion, I substituted with 'Tropical House 3.'
