Lucas de Paiva withs well-known alter-ego Pessoas Que Eu Conheço, returns with the third volume of the SEGA series but now something far stranger and far deeper. What once sounded like digital nostalgia now emerges as a dark catembe built from acoustic basses, fake trumpets dissonant pianos, and glitching digital vocals. 
Formerly “the Angel-Footed Boy Who Loved Christmas Music,” Lucas appears transformed to be the 21st Doctor Honoris Causa. Did life hit? Did the code crash? No one knows. But when people talk about experimentation, point them here that there's still a groove . “Jazz” becomes an empty word. This isn’t a love letter... it’s a festive message addressed to a funeral home. The untamed Lucas, the fake sound, the real feeling, let's go for it.

Following on from Type-303’s breakthrough The New Ravelution EP, Insult To Injury areproud to present You Ruined SST For Me EP by long time label friends, Pink Skull.We first heard Vr4l4r last year and immediately knew we had to put it out, as itmanages to be both an acid banger and a chordal, emotive piece simultaneously. No mean feat. F4n4pt turns up the heat (and the grit) with groove laden drum machines and analogue synthesisers firing machinegun-esque rhythms over the top. S4phr1s is aslightly weirder affair, as atonal bleeps & noises are anchored by the pounding 4/4 kickdrum.
Finally, label boss Timothy Clerkin provides a dance-floor-ready version of S4phr1s : 808‘s boom and 303’s squelch – it’s an acid workout for the warehouse.

Grant returns to the fray, armed with a four tracker, typically clean and vibsey enough to slip on your turquoise Crocs and start meandering around your kitchen/diner. This time, he's on yet another @Lobster-Theremin sub-print, @SITUrecords with their second release, 'The Long Game EP'.

'Second Life' is definitely the most introvert cut on the record, carrying dulcet tones, zenned out pads and emotionally charged vocal sweeps. The title perhaps a nod to the Saturday morning De Ja Vu through blurry eyes in which the introspective textures provide a perfect accompanying soundtrack to. Swear I've been here before.

Look Like makes his debut on Clone Royal Oak with a great four track ep! A fresh take on classic house music. Italo house, Balearic beat, Chicago's stomp and Detroit's funk all stirred up into a nice loose hybrid that seems to become Look Likes signature sound. Lovely stuff!! All round exemplary gents Nicholas & Jospeh have got a lovely new EP spanning broken beat, cosmic trips and groove-laden house. After a string of releases on Omena, Futureboogie and Wolf Music, Casino Times arrive on Clandestino. Our choice was the balearic charmer 'Rhythm Expander'. Sunset swashed synth swells (say that 3 times!) and guitar echoes ease you into Port before the 4/4 rhythm takes over and introduces an ideal bassline to get the feet tapping and head nodding.
