After six inimitable EPs ranging from blissful pop to slow burning house, Frank&Tony, aka Francis Harris and Anthony Collins, the creative force behind the boutique label Scissor and Thread, break new ground once again with their debut full length, "You Go Girl.” Reflecting the spellbinding vibe of their monthly "Punch Drunk Love" residency in The Panther Room at Brooklyn’s Output, “You Go Girl,” marks the duo's turn from their pop-driven work with proteges Bob Moses towards a grittier, analogue, club-centric approach. The result is an enduring slice of true dance floor magic that nods to Basic Channel, Detroit and New York house while rolling along effortlessly for nearly an hour. Highlights include "Bring the Sun," an achingly elegant ode to lost love sung by frequent label contributor Gry Bagøien, as well as the catchy house roller “Resistance,” which features Jason Poranski of Beirut. The November 17th digital release of the album is to be preceded by a three part vinyl version, (the individually titled “You,” “Go,” and “Girl,” EPs are due October 20th, November 3rd and November 17th, respectively,) with an alternate track list heavy on DJ-friendly dubs and exclusives including the sprawling thirteen minute, “Companion,” a collaboration with DJ Sprinkles that has the indescribable feel of an instant classic.

Limited Series 06 drops on Banoffee Pies Records. This time with some saucy Pink legs showcasing a predominantly Bristol based representative of Leftfield House and UK inspired productions from Jazz to Electro and 2 step.  
Gallegos’ “Save Your Love For Me” quickly engages  your focus with melody rich tones and enticing vocals pushing on to an interestingly themed A side with the likes of “Hanging Gardens” from local  Seka premiered here and the complex drum patterns of “Dreams” from Jay Anderson, another artist to recently join the labels affiliates with an appearance on the second Banoffee Pies Black Label imprint.  
 The B side is pleasantly introduced by a more head nodding groove from Owain K with “Touched “, and as with many of it’s predecessors, this Limited Series installation is rounded off with a Beat and a mood from a smoky lounge, just as heard previously from the Banoffee Pies Beats Series showcasing similar sample heavy loops. Another record with diverse uses for the DJ and listener.  Music for prancing, love and dancing.

R&S founder Renaat Vandepapeliere launches a new series RV Trax, to reflect the sound of his DJ sets and to give a platform to artists not based on social media likes or online hype.

Re-invigorated and inspired by contemporary dance floor sounds, after 30+ years as the label owner and figurehead Renaat succumbed to the temptation to finally, at the tender age of 60, try his own hand at rocking the crowd.

Renaat's sets have seen him assemble a treasure trove of unreleased music that will now find a very personal home on RV Trax. Emblazoned with the Belgian national colours of black, yellow and red these tracks proudly flaunt their 'floor-filling dynamics.

The first, a dance floor stormer from Steve Legget, remixing fellow North Easterner Bird Of Paradise’s original - a tight punchy workout that pairs distorted 909 kicks against a high tension string part and melancholic synth pads. G-Prod (AKA French brothers David and Nicolas Gaugain) provide a balmy, motor-city style number - shuffling drums underpin sunrise synth washes and euphoric melodies. Buenos Ayres' Hermetics provide a frostier mood with ‘Collider’ - chilly FM bells pinned against serrated percussion and swirling distortion

Celebrating the new wave of sophisticated, evocative deep house emerging from across Europe, Recit De Voyage debut their first ever compilation, curated by label founder, Rex Club resident and celebrated Parisian DJ, Molly. 

The tracklist combines upcoming artists either flourishing within Paris’s electronic music scene, or those connections established throughout Molly’s busy international touring schedule; artists who nonetheless encompass the rich depths and distinct attitude already established on previous Recit De Voyage releases. 
Parisian producer Point Carre Quintet opens the release with Nat Edo, a heady blend of frantic percussion which also establishes the emotional, hazy aesthetic often present throughout, while Rafiki’s ‘Tolok Again’ takes a raw dive into itself, building supreme tension with nervy stabs and feedback.

Cribbed from further afield, Aron’s ‘Mitica’s Journey’ embarks down a soothing, spiritual path, while fellow newcomer A77EN conjures a charismatic groove on ‘Running’, evoking the simplistic but addictive roots of Detroit house throughout the 1980s. 

Whether presenting as themselves or an alias, a sprinkling of more familiar names complete RDV04, including Dan Ruh, contributing the fantastically filtered, almost weightless ‘Your Style’ and Marion Poncet, best known as Traumer, dives deeper than most dare during ‘Distance De Touche’. Proprietor of Shift Recordings, DJ GLC ably closes the record with colour and force via his ‘Brazilian Affair’.

Completing the lineup, Molly herself demonstrates her increasingly powerful ability to build suspense and extract euphoria from the simplest of elements during ‘Quiet Spirit’. Undoubtedly one of her most singular and confident productions thus far, it’s an ideal centerpiece to a collection of music in which the standard has been set exceedingly high, expertly capturing the spirit and confidence of a new generation.

Following on from Type-303’s breakthrough The New Ravelution EP, Insult To Injury areproud to present You Ruined SST For Me EP by long time label friends, Pink Skull.We first heard Vr4l4r last year and immediately knew we had to put it out, as itmanages to be both an acid banger and a chordal, emotive piece simultaneously. No mean feat. F4n4pt turns up the heat (and the grit) with groove laden drum machines and analogue synthesisers firing machinegun-esque rhythms over the top. S4phr1s is aslightly weirder affair, as atonal bleeps & noises are anchored by the pounding 4/4 kickdrum.
Finally, label boss Timothy Clerkin provides a dance-floor-ready version of S4phr1s : 808‘s boom and 303’s squelch – it’s an acid workout for the warehouse.
