On September 5, 2020, pop artist J.W. CUDD released his new EDM single, “Need You.” The track is filled with dark pop tones, mysterious synths, and a hard hitting chorus that’s flashy and melodically inclined.
Produced by Oscar/Grammy nominated MIG (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Star Wars) and multi-platinum producer Andrew Lane (The Backstreet Boys, Miley Cyrus), the track details CUDD’s experiences of being a psychic clairvoyant, and the taboo dogma that he has faced because of it.
“I was approached by an Angel of the highest rank, and he warned me of temptation that would try to pull me down. The more you advance spiritually, the more a target gets placed on your back. That’s what ‘Need You’ reflects. From that moment on, Melchizedek became a Guardian for me—showing up for protection throughout the day and during the night. After about two months of not sleeping, his Light washed away any monster lurking in the shadows.”
The music video for “Need You” is currently being held for release until 2021. CUDD released a teaser of it on his official LIKEE account in October of 2020 through 107.
CUDD has played arena tours with acts like The Zac Brown Band, Willie Nelson, Little Big Town and more. Most of these being the result from fan-voted contests due to his die hard social media following. CUDD has been a pioneer of social media since the days of Myspace, accumulating countless followers over multiple platforms throughout the years. It’s easy to see why he was voted as “Best Country Music Artist” by the eWorld Music Awards (Paramount) in 2012.

In 2016, CUDD rebranded his image and sound for pop music, having known his true calling. Simultaneously, CUDD created a campaign called, “Open Your Heart,” in conjunction with the National American Heart Association. Proceeds from the song went to the organization for research purposes, and a small tour followed gaining national attention from EXTRA with Mario Lopez, Artist Direct, Baeble, and more.

An entrepreneur at heart, CUDD launched pop-culture digital music magazine, GAS MASK, in 2017. In conjunction with the launch, he released his most-known pop single to date titled, “BOOMERANG.” The Texas native, who can currently be seen in LISTEN the movie, wrote the catchy  track and went on to direct his own music video—strategically featuring the cross-collaboration of Gas Mask—and quickly giving him the new monicker. The cinematic piece encompasses color, karma, and the "Be who you are." symbol from GasMaskMagazine.com. Produced by multi-platinum producer Andrew Lane (Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Rowland), the song has a mainstream Top-40-vibe infused with a candid and truthful vocal performance from CUDD.  The music video kicked off with an exclusive premiere on Baeble Music, calling the song "...A straight-forward yet powerful anthem..." and was picked up across North American retail chains and music networks such as: AXS TV, Music Choice, Gold’s Gym, 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, Costco, Walmart, McDonald’s, BJ’s Brewery, Hilton and more.        

Currently, CUDD has been working on his debut pop album. The record will be CUDD’s first full length pop release, set for early 2020. The record is being produced by MIG (The Chainsmokers, Dua Lipa, Camila Cabello) and Andrew Lane (Backstreet Boys, High School Musical, Kelly Rowland), and will track the glittering and intoxicating sounds of pop, electro, and tropical genres.
