في تقويمٍ منسيّ، حفرتُ موعداً لانطفائي، لا شوقًا للموت، بل نفورًا من الضجيج الذي يُشبه الحياة.  أغلقتُ النوافذ على أنفاسي، وانسلختُ عن كلّ ظلٍّ تعرّف باسمي… كأنني أدرّب الغياب على الحضور.  كان الصمتُ كثيفًا كالكتمان، والفقدُ يلوكُ أطرافَ قلبي كوحشٍ جائع، فألقيتُ بنفسي في هاوية مؤجلة، وابتسمتُ لها كمن يعرف أنها ستتأخر.  وقبل العتمة بعشر ليالٍ، انشقّ شيءٌ في داخلي... ليس نورًا، بل هلعًا يخشى السكون الأبدي.  حين حانت اللحظة، ارتجفتُ… لا لأنني خفت الموت، بل لأن الحياة، رغم خيانتها، لا تزال تمسك بي من حنجرتي.

I LOVE YOU (full cover)

I wanted to write a song pertaining to a post-relationship break-up from the perspective of someone who is heartbroken, but persistent in trying to make it work. The reason it is titled, Murphy's Law, is he is believing if anything can happen it will happen, meaning he'll prove that he can make it work by giving him "one more chance" and "some more time."

Several moments of the song are taken from real-life instances where I was experiencing heartbreak and I kept thinking about all of the fun things we did, like going to the movies and laughing all night or dreaming of places we'd travel together like Florence, Italy. It's similar to the concept of not knowing what you have until it's gone, but trying to be cognizant that, because there's a possibility of it being gone, making sure you don't lose it. It's definitely an interestingly somewhat backwards take on Murphy's Law.

Part of my Oud Taqsims · Meditative Journeys in Sound collection.
Each piece is a short oud improvisation, between two and three minutes, exploring different maqams and scales that express both emotion and stillness.

I arranged these recordings for moments when I want my walks or quiet hours to be guided only by the sound of the oud. Some tracks include subtle ambient layers to sustain a meditative tone, but the focus always remains on the natural warmth of the instrument.

The oud, with its deep wooden resonance and voice-like tone, has long been cherished for its soothing and introspective qualities. Its melodies have a way of slowing the breath and drawing the mind into calm reflection.

This series, however, stays closer to silence—a personal dialogue between breath and string, created for mindfulness, focus, and peaceful thought.
