This is the set I played for the Tom of Finland Foundation's "Tom's Bar" annual leather event on 06-19-2022.  Mostly a mix of melodic techno and techno, with a few afro and progressive tracks mixed in. Includes remixes of classic diva vocal tunes but with a darker edgy sound.

Re-recorded my opening set for MASTEURDOME on Folsom weekend in San Francisco 2022.  Starts off with a few progressive house tracks, and kicks it up a notch with tech house, melodic techno, and techno about 30 min in.  The last two tracks I didn’t play in the event live set, but included in this mix for pure nostalgic pleasure.

Passionate about electronic music from the early 90s, First years, Dj resides at Calao Saintfont & Astropolis 1999 Keriolet, Brittany. As a resident or guest DJ, playing in Europe. Nicolas, aka Dj Nyco, began his DJ career at Le Calao club near Quimper. Settled in Paris in 2001, he was quickly noticed and many important events were entrusted to him. Alongside residencies and regular sets at Queen, Redlight, Mix club and the mega after Under at Club 79, he also produces and coordinates his own parties. Progress! at the Bastille Stage, Weather at the Loco, Taiphoon Beat and “La boum à Nucci” at the Bains Douches. Resident for European Beardrop, he travels the world to share his universe in the biggest events on the circuit, such as La Démence, Rapido or GreenKomm. Nicolas joined the Scream club, based at Gibus, in 2011.

The is 2nd half of my DJ set at the 30th Anniversary of the Tom of Finland Foundation's event "Tom's Bar". I played this set after a 15 min opening ceremony and introduction of Southern California Leather title holders. Recorded live at AVALON Hollywood using 2 CDJ 3000s and a DJM 900 nxs mixer.

Based out of Los Angeles, Justin Nicoll’s sound emphasizes melodic elements fusing edgy, progressive, and driving basslines with deep and hypnotic rhythms.  Collectively, his sets merge techno, progressive house, and tribal genres with unique textures and curate a future forward sound while sprinkling in nostalgia along the way. Justin’s DJ sets are truly progressive in nature, and leads his crowd on a hedonistic yet emotional journey that keeps their bodies pumping and grooving all night. His DJ sets and music production draws inspiration from artists such as Sasha & John Digweed, John Creamer & Stephane K, Rick Pier O’Neil, ARTBAT, Oscar Mulero, and Rene Wise.

Justin began his journey DJing during the pandemic (2020), and fell in love with progressive house and techno after attending underground raves and Berlin’s techno scene. Since then he has played numerous and diverse events around the United States and abroad, including leather events, underground warehouse raves, circuit parties, tea dances, and pool parties.  Folsom (San Francisco), Los Angeles Leather Pride’s Off-Sunset Festival, Palm Springs Pride, The Cuff Seattle, and Brawny Bear Weekend (Puerto Vallarta). 

He has recurring gigs and performances for parties including TUFF, Masterbeat, GPS, Trophy Dad, The Eagle LA, MEAT RACK, Tom of Finland, Mantamar Beach Club (PVR) and underground warehouse events including SMD and ABUNDA. He has provided support for headlining artists such as PAGANO, Karsten Sollors, GSP, and Berghain/Panarama Bar resident Partok. His online podcasts and live DJ set recordings have accumulated just over 39,000 plays and listens since 2022 on SoundCloud.
