When it comes to quality music we at Amber Muse Records don’t want to limit ourselves with one genre of electronic music. So next on the label is intelligent drum & bass EP by Latvian producer Kidneyz.
 
Kidneyz is a moniker of our inhouse artist ZaZzy (member of Phonetica). He delivers two original tracks: a sunny song “You Will Smile” recorded together with Latvian jazz soul band Soulemotion, and intelligent liquid drum & bass instrumental “Hang On Soul” inspired by sound of this genre from 90’s.
 
“Hang On Soul” comes with two remixes. Member of Estonian/Finnish/German project Hidden Paranoid Society – Creep created dark and atmospheric world version while Latvian drum & bass producers, DJs and promoters' Slovar & Other Spectrum of Urbansoulz team took a more minimalistic approach.

One sentence to summarise his music. A music to summarise a journey. A sound to create a universe. And this EP to act as a logbook written in the calm and terrifying embrace of the cosmos. That is how we can qualify the way Dorian adopts his music or lets himself be adopted. An authentic musician far distanced from mainstream medias to find his own voice, his own touch, and always willing to surpass his own accomplishments. If we had to summarise his music, we would “only” have to say that it takes us by the gut and soothe our mind until we’re somewhere else, perhaps in outer space.

After multiple releases, Netpune went into exile with his music for a while to get the best out of it. Today, he comes back and presents an all-new opus that will surely take your breath away.

This logbook is divided in three portions like stars of a constellation he followed to come back home. The journey was not made alone since he was accompanied by the lovely voice of the English singer Clara La San. Some will be blown away and others will travel with Neptune, but the EP guarantees an unearthly experience.

A year end present for everyone!

2014 led Blue Hawaii around the world. Over multiple visits to Russia, China/SE Asia, Mexico, Japan, Europe and the US, it felt like everything was coming up opposite Untogether, the album we made. Instead of being secluded in a Montreal apartment writing a fragmented break-up record, we were travelling vast distances, rediscovering each other as close friends and tying together radically different cultures. Our music came to reflect that. Live, everything sounded more together and higher energy than the record in an effort to find common ground with all those different audiences. 

It's the end of the year, so to commemorate the global underground touring we did— to all the people who were interested in coming to and putting on a Blue Hawaii show in Bangkok or Vilnius— we decided to put together a free mixtape of edits —  somewhere between the dreamy record and the banging live show. 

In 2015, Ra will focus on her other band, BRAIDS, who have just completed a beautiful, deeply emotional, new record which I am very excited to see come into the world. I will use what I’ve learnt this year DJing and roaming the earth to produce more music this winter —  planning on releasing material in a similar vein to this mixtape and hitting SXSW this March as DJ Blue Hawaii.. holding down the fort until Ra and I can record another album…   something 4 y’all to look forward to! ---;)  Agor (the boy in Blue Hawaii)
