About the release
Love Is What? What probably started as a not-so-serious question during a wild night out in Berlin soon found its resonance in the studio of the Mecklenburg-based producer duo Kollektiv Ost. As children of the early 80s and 90s, there was only one reasonable answer to this profoundly philosophical question for both of them. A 16th bass, the dusty emu synth and this legendary melody.

I am Nasty is the first release by DJ Nasty Deluxe on our new label. The DJ and producer based in Macedonia delivers a very great and varied EP with his work. The Tietletrack I am Nasty comes with a powerful kick drum and fat basses. With the typical Acid sound of the TB 303 and the small but fine effect gimmicks, the track convinced us right away. In addition to the original version, there is also a tech-house remix by Arthur van Dyk, as well as a remix of the track Violet Sky by Roland Romer and Ill Boy Phil. Arthur van Dyks tech-house interpretation comes with a cool beat. The swinging bass groove and the perfectly staged vocal are definitely the two main actors here.
