I started this baby when I was briefly living in Syndey, Australia. I was having a pretty tough time being so far from home, but working on this always made me feel a lot better. This track really feels like a culmination of all that I've learned over the years as a producer, and because of that, it means a great deal to me. Last year when I did the "One In A Million" Tour the idea was to play all my new album material to the fans before it even came out, as an exclusive treat but also as part of the process of refining the music. When I finished and released the album late last year we were already making plans for the next tour! So the past few months I've been writing and making so much new music, and one of the most natural and independent processes for me is to go back to where it started and just mess around with old school hip hop like I did back in the day! There's something about the energy and flow of those old school rappers that always has and always will bring me such inspiration. So these are a taste of some of the new stuff I'm putting together for the "Holy Moly!" Tour, and there's more where that came from!
