Mr Bringer-er Together-er is Josh. You may also know him as artist Entheogenic Psychnought, or the spine of Eclectic Collective. We all came across Josh in our own lucky ways, but he really sets a high bar for spreading constructive musical love and encouragement on SoundCloud. This song started out as a comment. I (Carl/TBD) went to call Josh Mr Bringer-er Together-er and my phone auto corrected it. the next morning K2 swooped in and said what I wanted so I used that as a trigger for the song.
So, I had a rough arrangement. We then invited a few artists, except Josh, to paint it for him. Scratch Kelly, aka Sarah, beamed through some amazing vocals. Not long behind Joe Stroffolino painted in some brilliant backing vox. Then Scotty (One Man Verity Show) chimed in with some amazing guitar, trippy backing vocals, and the super artwork you get to enjoy. Mark brushed in a triangle and some vox, and then Ken added those trusty drums. Tez then strutted in and added some super lead guitar, and not far behind him was Stephen with some epic rhythm guitar that showed the way for the song from that point of view showing a much better space to all the other instruments than the original demo guitar. That was a lovely lesson on less is more...

The song was now ready to give to the main man for him to paint, and he chose his trusty bass to put some strawberries on his own musical cake.

I now stared at 37 tracks and went... Hmmm Stephen, Help! Stephen mixed and mastered it to its crisp current form, and it was a very difficult mix. He basically had to merge 3 projects to one and really aced the challenging mix and master like the true shaman he is. We hope you enjoy the song that brought us together again. May it give us more togetherness like Josh so wonderfully demonstrates everyday

This song began more than a year ago, when Josh created a song out of a looper beat with his four string fretless bass. It sat on the shelf until a few weeks ago, when he shared it with JJ, who was in creative mode one Saturday evening. Josh had actually forgotten that he'd added a bass line to it, and thought he was just passing on a looper beat for JJ to play with. 
  However, JJ heard it, and was so excited that added his magical electric piano part, making it sound like a real song, instead of just drums and a bass. Ken also heard some magic in here, because he came up with his own brilliant beat to replace the looper that was used in for the seed. Mark was next to throw in, adding the striking drum pattern breakdown, and the thrilling flute solo, as well. Tez came in shortly after, adding his thrilling guitar to the mix. After everyone had added their parts, Josh came back and added two guitar parts, the simple low end line, as well as the high strumed triads. At this stage, Mark did some editing, as it is in his skill set, and made it less dense and easier to listen to. 
  Now that the song was musically complete, out newest member, Carl, dropped the amazing vocals you hear, singing his original lyrics. After Carl was done sprinkling his magic in it, we needed an able producer to bring out the magic of the recordings. Good thing we have a trained producer to do the job in Stephen, who mixed and mastered it superbly, as always. 
  This is Eclectic Collective's first fore into the afrobeat genre, although a few of us are really big fans already, and Josh has a few other originals in this genre buried on his page, as well. As always, we all enjoyed the process of hearing this one come together. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

This song began in Artur's jam room at his house, where he creates all of his amazing music on his Fender Jaguar, which is perfect for the surf sound, at which he's a master. He shared it with Josh, who shared it with the group.
  Before Josh could lay down a bass part to it, though, JJ came up with his elegantly moody synth and laid it down. The rhythm section, Josh and Ken, then did their usual dance, dialing it in with some back and forth. Stephen was next in line, adding a subtle duet with Artur's chords. Tez then played the ethereal lead throughout most of it. Stephen, after it was pretty much laid down, came through with the ripping wah solo towards the end.
  Once the music was all taken care of, Carl came up with some great lyrics for it, and sang them, as the newest member of the group. He also laid down an accompanying acoustic rhythm guitar part, too. After Carl did his thing, we turned it over to Stephen for a mix, which he did with his professional skill set.
  This is the latest in a long line of surf rock tunes Artur has shared with Eclectic Collective. If you dig the sound, he has plenty more great ones on his page, which are worth checking out, too. We tried to do this with a little nod to The Police, the band, not the profession. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. Thanks for listening.

This song began at the end of last summer, August of '24, when Tez sat down and composed it on his guitar. He shared it with us right away, and while everyone jumped on it immediately, it sat on the shelf for so long because we all felt we needed a singer for it. Fast forward a year, and lo and behold, we picked up Carl, who is down for whatever vocals a song needs. 
  We began construction on this by creating the rhythm section. Ken first adding his explosive drums, followed by Josh completing the rhythm section with his four string, fretted bass, which he used a plectrum to play.  JJ entered the fray next, adding his otherworldly synth and thickening organ. 
  Then it sat. And sat. And sat some more, until Carl found us, or we found him, and he was finally able to add the missing puzzle piece. But before we put it to bed, Stephen added some thrilling solo work with his axe, too. 
  Now that it was a completed song, we asked Stephen to mix it, even though it's really Tez's song, and that honor would usually go to him. However Tez was experiencing some technical difficulty, so the honor went to Stephen, who did his always professional production work on it. 
  This is a straight rocker from Eclectic Collective, being in all of our wheelhouses. This one was all made in house, too, so it's a great representation of our rocking skills as a band. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This is the latest in our series of songs Carl has written about us. Being as both Tez, a lifelong, and to a lesser degree, Carl are Manchester United fans, Carl siezed on the opportunity to celebrate their shared fandom. Although the lyrics are a little inscrutable to us Americans, we love that football (soccer) fans from across the pond will know exactly what he's talking about. 
  Carl wrote this song on his acoustic guitar, and upon sharing it with us, we weren't sure as to the direction we wanted to take it. JJ threw down first, adding his good-time-sounding upright piano and strikingly beautiful organ to the mix first. Enchanted with Carl's composition, Josh next added his bass and mandolin both in the same recording session, without even closing his DAW. Mark was in right after, adding his friendly fiddle solo as well as fiddle fills throughout. Being as the song is about him, Tez came along shortly after and added the tuneful intro and outro on his guitar. Then, as it was just about to sit for a while, Ken added his very tasteful, perfect drums to the mix, thus completing the rhythm section. 
  Before we put a bow on it, though, Stephen made it back from his week in the Colorado wilderness in time to add his magical banjo to the mix. Speaking of mixes, now it was time for one, and we turned it over to him, our in house pro, to do the honors.
  We all really enjoyed working on this one. It is an example of Eclectic Collective taking one of Carls songs and having our way with it. Always a team effort getting it over the line, but we always manage to do it. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

From Josh, "No one who can witness what is going on in Palestine right now can call it anything other than genocide. I love Palestinian music and are saddened that it might be wiped off the face of the Earth. Please be aware that I also love my Jewish brothers and sisters. However, the state of Israel is committing a horrible crime against humanity that will be an indelible stain on everyone who's complicit in it. We all see signs of peace as of this week, and can only hope it leads to less suffering for everyone on both sides of the conflict. And my true hope is that they can allow their children to grow up without perpetuating the same cycle of hate that has devestated Palestine and caused so much suffering in Israel, as well."
  Josh had the idea for doing a traditional Palestinian song, as he is an avid fan of their music. He wanted to raise awareness of this music and tie it to the idea it may cease to exist as a living musical tradition sooner than later. Everyone in the band was immediately on board with this idea, and set about to make it happen. 
  Mark, who is an expert percussionist, learned a basic traditional Palestinian drum pattern, in a very authentic fashion. He laid it down, along with an Arabic sounding modal melody line portrayed by the quanun, which is a kind of zither. Josh found this pattern fascinating, and added his five string fretless bass to the it shortly after. Carl jumped in very shortly thereafter, and came up with some really amazing vocal melodies, as well as wonderfully prescient lyrics. He even learned more than several phrases in Arabic, which he sang in there, too. We were all very impressed by this, of course.
  JJ was next up, adding his magical, melodic, and exotic saz, shakuhachi, and synth to the mix. Ken threw in next, adding his perfectly timed brass and Chinese percussion to the mix, too. Last, but certainly not least, Stephen recorded his subtle, exotic, traditional sitar to the piece. 
  Once we had it all recorded, we turned it over to Mark for a mix, as the whole thing is really his baby. Stephen mastered it, though, as he is our resident professional producer.
  Our hope is that this song inspires you to dig into Palestinian music, and through that, you recognize the magic and the humanity of millions of Palestinian people who are suffering unimaginably right now. But most of all, we hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This song started as a project that was begun on his guitar and synth, then shelved by our master songwriter, Chris. He always gives us magic to work with, and as soon as he shared this one with the rest of Eclectic Collective, we all jumped on it.
  Mark heard his part first, and set about writing some great lyrics to sing with his solid, inimitable voice. His lyrics are about a hypothetical future where we've turned to technology in search of human connection, only to realize that it has only isolated us more, and that we really already had that connection to begin with. The narration is from a future perspective, like all this has already happened, and its speaking to us from the future, almost like a warning. 
  The rhythm section was still absent, though, but not for long. Ken added his groovy, perfectly in the vibe drums to it next. Josh, of course followed soon after, now that he had drums to work with, by adding his fretless four string bass to the song. Now that it was sounding like a well rounded piece, Tez came through with some thrilling guitar solos that you hear throughout. JJ first added some piano, B3, and sax to the song, then later completed it with his psychedelic synth and divine voice synth that provides the "choir" you hear in there.
  Now that it was all in the bag, Mark spent considerable time and effort mixing it, then turned it over to our resident pro Stephen for the mastering.
  This is one of our favorite songs we've ever done, and it reminds us all of both Pink Floyd and King Crimson. This is a great example of what the team is able to do with a really solid, yet open musical seed, provided by a master composer. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

It’s All Downhill From Here-Isolated Vocals and Bass Guitar

This song started as an idea Bill came up with on his acoustic guitar. Having found each other on the Cloud and enjoying each other's music, Josh and Bill decided to do a collab. Bill is a real deal guitarist, who's as prolific as he is skilled. Of course, Josh invited Eclectic Collective to the party, too.
  Shortly after doing so, he laid down a bass part to Bill's skeleton withi his four string fretless bass. Ken followed suit, and after a back and forth, completed the rhythms secion. JJ dug in next, adding the thrilling strings that highlight the high points of the melody. 
  There wasn't a whole lot of room for everyone on this, though, as Bill had the guitar parts nailed down tight. However, after sitting on the shelf for about half a year, Carl came along and added the missing piece with his raucuos vocals. Stephen also fattened up the sound a bit with his acoustic rhythm guitar.  
  Once it was in the can, we asked Stephen to work his production, mix, and mastering magic on it, too, which he came through with, as always.
  This brilliant song almost didn't see the light of day. It sat for what felt like forever, until we decided to revive it. This will not be the last collab we do with Bill, though, who was generous in not only sharing his music with us, but allowing us to do whatever we wanted with it, too. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

So.. with no way of converting a CD to our digital currency..I held my IPhone up to the last existing CD player and speakers.. in my wife’s office!…This is the absolute first rehearsal of this kick ass tune🕺🏼written by Chris Bennet.. a cherished friend and bandmate.. he passed in 2014🥵🙏 circa 2002.. my band had some interest from recording companies…we actually got to do a showcase @ The Viper Room., in LA., June, 2002.., brought out by the management from the band Tantric…🙌.. the lawyers didn’t know how to market us.. late twenties.  Early thirties.. too rock for country.. too country for Rock.. last show played in September 2003.. Chris Bennet is on  the left.. next to me!  Oh well.. all I wanted.. didn’t @ happen for me.. it’s okay.. I love being on the Cloud.. with all.. and anyone who wants to join! RIP.. Chris!💔🙌🙏 fantastic friend, guitarist, songwriter, singer.. he always encouraged me.. not just in what we did.. but also.. @ life! Yes! This cover of the CCR version of this Screaming Jay Hawkins classic began as an idea Josh had for Eclectic Collective putting on a musical Halloween costume. He was inspired by his favorite band, Phish, who cover an entire album every Halloween as a musical costume. Although, which song we covered was up for debate from the start. 
  Once we decided on a song, Josh laid down the skeleton for it on his '71 SG. Once we had a framework to work with, Ken laid down his rocking drums, followed by Josh completing the rhythm section by adding his trusty P-bass. Even though the song was now in its infancy, Carl summoned all his Halloween spirit for his dynamic vocal performance.  
  Now that it was sounding like a real song, JJ dropped both the key piano part, as well as his expressive organ in there, too. Mark wasn't far behind, adding his magic via the sax to the solo section, and strings in the third verse. Stephen came through with the spooky tremolo guitar and the fiery first half of the guitar solo in the solo section right after. And to put the cherry on the musical sundae, Tez brought the lightning down for the second half of the guitar solo, as well as the solo work that leads the whole way to the end.
  We all enjoyed bringing this classic song back to life, and doing it in the spirit of what may be the most fun holiday on the callendar. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it. Happy Halloween!

has been reported that former government health officials, including the current CDC director, have made comments indicating the six-foot social distancing guideline was an "arbitrary" or "empiric" decision and not based on specific scientific studies. 
The current acting director of the CDC is Jim O'Neill. The previous confirmed director was Susan Monarez, who was fired in August 2025- just a saying! 🙌🙌🙌🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼 1 Thessalonians 5:3! 🙌

This song began as a looper beat that Josh created in BandLab. He does that often to start an idea. However, this beat sat on the shelf for almost a year, until he shared it with JJ for one of his Saturday night music sessions. JJ put an arrangement on it with his organ and bass. Josh quickly replaced the bass idea with his own version of it, though. 
  Now it was Ken's turn to replace the dull looper beat with something alive and organic, which he did in the most creative and solid way possible. We had a skeleton now, and it was time to share it with Beck, with whom this is Eclectic Collective's first song. She added her magic via the synth you hear sprinkled throughout. Stephen weighed in next with his funky wah guitar. Josh then wrapped things up by adding the simple, melodic guitar lines your hear throughout.
  It was almost done at this point, but of course, we wanted Carl to add his greatness to it, as well, which he did by writing and singing some compelling vocals. He took the working title, which Josh came up with having just read The Odyssey, and wrote a whole song about it! The Odyssey, of course, is the ancient Greek story of a warrior sailor, who survives many perils on his epic quest to reach his home.  
  Once it was all laid down, we asked Tez to do his expert work with the mix and production, which he did perfectly, as always. We're very lucky to have two very talented producers in the group, and grateful to Tez for ironing this one out for us. 
  This is, as mentioned, the EC's first go round with Beck, and we couldn't be more thrilled to work with her. Not only is she a skilled, creative musician, but she is a delightful ray of sunlight to work with, too. We have another collab with her we plan to release in the coming weeks, as well. There will be more to follow. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This is a love song written about Josh's favorite band, Phish. He came up with the chords on his acoustic guitar, and shared it with the group. This was written with Beck in mind, though, too, as he knew she'd be contributing her magic to this one, too. Even when it was just the acoustic guitar set to a looper beat, she came up with many of the parts you hear throughout. Although, she also readjusted and redid a lot of it, too, throughout the process. Ken was the next piece of the puzzle to jump in. He laid down his perfect drums beats to it in only one or two tries, giving it the groove it needed. After Ken laid down the beat, that allowed Josh to add his bass to the mix, too. It was almost done musically, but it needed a lead guitar, which Josh also put in there. Before it was finished, though, JJ weighed in with his clever organ, which can be heard from about 2:30 on. When it was all wrapped up musically, Josh also sang his lyrics, which are written from the perspective of two Phish heads conversing about the imminent Phish show, which is always a big, exciting event. 
  Josh has seen almost 70 Phish shows in his life, and he hopes his adoration for the band is evident in this song. This is the second song Eclectic Collective have done with Beck, and we all hope for many more, too. She's a fantastic musician, with a wonderfully deep well of creativity. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Well, I am showcasing bass, vocals and drums, alone.. I think it sounds exciting! .. also.. where we started.. not knowing beans from apple butter ( which, both, I love!😁) …        it was really hard for me, to learn Bonham to about 80% correct… maybe 🤔.. maybe 60?.. doesn’t matter…the fact that we pulled through.. now we have amazing players and friends…
    I thought it would be endearing to anyone who gives AF!! !! It’s pure, raw, and energetic..  and enjoyable! Not perfect…but absolutely lit, IMHO, yes! .. it’s where the Eclectic Collective was built from!!!🙌.. It’s my production on this… Josh on bass and vocals.. me on drums! Led Zeppelin is one of our favorite bands, ever… so we started with a @ deep cut… so not to annoy any purists! 🙌 If I remember.. sometime in

This song began by Gaz composing it and on his acoustic guitar, and singing his original lyrics over it. Gaz is a brilliant songwriter, lyricist, and singer, with whom we've worked before. However, this is the first song he's shared with us. He gave it to Ken first, who started the project and invited the rest of us to it.
  Ken, who was the originator of the project, was actually the second person to lay down a part, which he did to Josh's bass, instead of the other way around, as they usually do it. Stephen then came in and replaced Gaz's acoustic guitar with his silky smooth electric guitar. JJ got down on his magical piano and organ parts not long after Stephen added his guitar. 
  This was a somewhat uncomplicated process, as Gaz gave us a fully realized song to work with right from the start. Tez sealed the deal with his expert production to cap it off, too.
  As mentioned, this is our second song starring Gaz, and we're very grateful to him for sharing his magic with us. We're all looking forward to working together again in the future, too. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

First of all, we wish the happiest Thanksgiving to all our wonderful SoundCloud friends and family. This song began as a twinkle in Artur's eye a couple months ago. Hey composed it with his Jaguar, as that is the premium surf guitar out there, and shared it with Tez, who invited the rest of us onto the project. 
   Tez, being the first on the boat, added his thrilling guitar fills and solos first. It was kind of odd the way we did this one, in fact, with the melodic/chordal instruments first, followed by the rhythm section. That said, JJ was next up to bat, adding his magical electric piano and soaring organ. Ken was first up for the backline, adding his driving drums. Josh then finally added his fretless bass to the stew. But before he was done, Josh also added the guitar solo you hear from 1:30-1:55. 
  After it was all said and done, we asked Tez to mix it for us, as he is a master producer and mixer. 
  This is the latest in a long line of surf rock songs of Artur's we've been fortunate enough to get to play with. He is the surfingest Polish fellow you will ever come across, and a wonderful, familiar collaborator with Eclectic Collective. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

One of my first GarageBand songs! There are multiple levels of meaning, as always.. just enjoying my @ stripped series, yes! Hope something catches your ears.. in a good way.. btw.. I’m not making any threats.. it’s just how I perceive people perceive, Christ, sometimes… I call Him Lord and Savior… the biggest blessing to all of us! Yes! You may disagree…it’s not a theological debate.. it’s mostly aimed at me.. something to remind me.. to reflect on.. to consider…I prefer uplifting statements..  if not your cup of tea or coffee.. please @ hard pass.. though you are welcome to share anything you desire ! 😇🙏

Three in One- stripped

This song began with Chris composing it with his synth, guitar, drum pad and bass. Like many of his songs, it was pretty well formed before the rest of the group got a hold of it. This song was part of a load of songs he shared with the rest of Eclectic Collective all at once. We've been picking them off one by one, though, as we're always grateful to Chris for sharing his magic with us.
  The odd sound of the rhythmic melody, which uses chromatic walks, immediately caught Josh's ears. It struck him as something the Doors might have come up with. So, he set about replacing Chris' simple bass line with something fancier, as well as coming up with the lead guitar for the whole thing, and the lyrics and vocals, as well. Josh was really taken with this one, and heard all kinds of parts in it almost immediately. Ken went to bat next, adding his innovative, John Densmore-like drums to it, replacing Chris' initial rhythmic idea. JJ came next and added the essential piano you hear throughout. After that, Mark found a place for his amazing bassoon/harpsicord solo in the middle. But before it was all over, Chris also added some doubled vocals, too, to actualize the lyrics, which are about two friends taking an acid trip together. 
  After it was all laid down, we asked Tez to mix it for us, which he did in his expert fashion, as always.
  This is our latest song composed by Chris, and we love working on his music. If you dig this, you should pay his page a visit, too, as it's full of diamonds. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This is a song that Josh and his cousin Paul came up with on Thanksgiving night, after everyone went to bed. They were working on a much longer composition, but got stuck in the jam after looking at each other and wordlessly saying, "this is the magic, stick with it." We were playing an electric guitar and a stand-up bass to a looper disco beat when we recorded this. So, of course, Josh asked Ken if he'd add some real drums, which he did as though he were in the room jamming with us. Then josh laid down some organ to go with the jam. Josh and Stephen also had the idea to add some banjo in here, which Stephen did like the excellent musician he is. He also managed to mix this live recording hybrid with exceptional skill. 
  This is an example of two musicians who are intimately familiar with each other, and each other's playing and sensibilities, accompanied by two other musicians who have become nearly as familiar over the past few years. Carl came up with this song at the beginning of November on his acoustic guitar, and shared it with the rest of us shortly after. Carl is a songwriting supernova, in case you're unfamiliar with our newest addition to the team. We're always excited and grateful to get to work on his music. 
  Mark was first to add his parts, although he tweaked them throughout the process. His work can be heard in the dramatic string arrangement and mellotron at the crescendo. Josh was next to jump in, adding his new upright bass to the song. He played not only the plucked part, but the bowed part in the strings section, too. Ken came along next with his perfect drums to complete the rhythm section. JJ wanted in on this, too, so he added the foundational piano you hear throughout. Last, but not least, Stephen dropped in his electrifying guitar solo and the accompanying textural chords using is Danelectro baritone guitar, followed at the very end by his magical e-bow part. 
  Once it was all in the bag, we asked Tez to produce and mix it for us, which he did in his always expert fashion. 
  This is our latest song of which Carl is the author. He's been making music with us for the past half a year now, and we can't get enough of his abundant creativity. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.
  Also, Carl had this to say about his lyrics, "Labels and putting each other in a particular box is causing big problems on the planet. The song's meaning is born from trying to take labels out of our lessons. In a polarized world, the song pines how we will likely learn lessons properly if we leave ego out of what we are trying to learn. This song began its life when Chris put ass to chair and came up with it a while back. This is the latest of the massive song collection he laid on Eclectic Collective about a month and a half ago. Be prepared to hear a lot more of his songs coming through our fingers and voices, because we now have a plethora of great material from him. So, Chris came up with this arrangement on his acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and synth, but it was a pretty solid composition, even by his standards, and it had the magic already baked in.
  The first one of us to grab a hold of it was Carl, who immediately heard his vocal part, which he supplied with his always striking lyrics. JJ was the first instrumentalist to add his part, laying in the delightful organ, electric piano, and synth you hear throughout. Josh came out swinging next, adding his upright bass, which he bowed. Mark came along shortly after, adding his dramatic timpani, enchanting steel pan, cool triangle, arpeggiated synth, and synth effects to the mix. He also did some major editing, making room for Stephen's guitar solo, and adjusting some parts at the end. Mark also added some backing vocals, quoting George Harrison's Here Comes the Sun. If you listen closely, you can hear his Easter eggs in there. 
  At this point, the song sounded almost classical, especially Josh's bowed bass part. However, Ken still had something to say in here, adding his remarkable, driving drums to the whole thing. Josh, recognizing the sea change this created, added his fretless four-string to match Ken's kick. Stephen was able to blend the two in the production phase. But not before installing his absolutely thrilling electric guitar solo in there. Stephen did a wonderful job of producing, mixing, and mastering this for us, as always, when it was all in the can.
  This is the first song Carl has gotten to sing that Chris has written. We're all super excited to unleash this combo on the world. This song reminds Josh of one of his favorite bands, The Flaming Lips, too, which makes it a special treat for him, as well. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

This song started its life by flowing out of Artur's fingers about two years ago. He passed it around to the Eclectic Collective, who each added their magic to the song, as well. Tez remixed it and slapped some psychedelic production on it as a Christmas present to the rest of the group. We hope you enjoy this special treat as much as we all enjoyed creating it. This is a cover of a Jerry Jeff Walker song Josh has known since he was a kid. That's because his dad used to his favorite musician on a tape it was on all the time in his pickup truck when Josh was growing up. If you remember last year around this time, we released another song off the same live album, Live at Gruene Hall, called The Pickup Truck Song. Thus, it has become a tradition for Josh to enlist various members of Eclectic Collective to help him with his annual Xmas present for his father. 
  Josh learned the piano, rhythm guitar, and upright bass parts for this before turning it over to the other guys to fill in the rest. This year, both Stephen and Ken were gracious and generous enough to lend a hand. First, Ken very skillfully added his perfect brushes and waltz beat to it first. Then Stephen added some killer pedal steel, which he had to drive to his friend's nearby house in down in Texas to use in his barn studio. Talk about an authentic way to get the right sound! For those of you who don't know, Jerry Jeff was a Texas troubadour who came out of the Outlaw Country scene in the '70s. Stephen also added the delightfully melodic guitar in the solo section. Josh then sang the lyrics in his best baritone to cap it off.
  Once we had it recorded, we turned it over to Stephen for a mix, which he did in his always expert fashion. 
  This project really means a lot to Josh, not only because it made a wonderful gift for his dad, but because you can't grow up on a song and not have a special fondness for it. He is very grateful to both Stephen and Ken for all their time, effort, and musical expertise that got it over the finish line. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it. We wish a very merry Christmas and happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year to all our friends out there in SoundCloud land!

This is a project that JJ has been putting together for us as a gift every year for the past couple of years, which gives us a way to speak to all our fans, friends, associates on SoundCloud. It is a compilation of a bunch of our songs from the past year, over which we all answer some questions in an interview style. This year, our interviewer is SunnyBeck, although it has been Jeff of Stonerjazz fame in the past. We have collaborated on a few songs with her, and now consider her part of the Eclectic Collective family.
We know this is a very long project, so please listen to as much as you want, and know this is as much for our collective listening pleasure as it is to show the world. The time stamps of all out appearances are included with our names, so if you just want to listen to a particular person while commenting on their page, please feel free to do that, too.
This is a time of year to take stock in and reflect on the past year. We all have a lot for which to be thankful. We added Carl to the group this year, which has been a delight to all of us. He and Chris have given us so many amazing compositions to work with. Chris is a full member of the band, although he doesn't appear as an interviewee in the documentary.
We also want to sincerely thank the other collaborators who have shared their magic with us this year. They include Jonathan Beckenstein, Jeff Roberts, MahanMahan, Didier Burli, Tea R.
