Italian producer Jorge steps up once again to present his new EP on K9. The feedback on the last EP was really good so we look forward to hearing your thoughts on this one.

If you didn't check out the last EP, Jorge's style is best described as pumping. His music carries some weight but still maintains a certain level of bounce to keep it on a funky tip rather than being too heavy. It works wonders on the dancefloor as he always adds hypnotic elements that keep the mind hooked.

This time Angelo Ferrari has joined the ride in the form of a remix, which has great groove - mainly driven by the pulsating bassline. His remix rounds the EP off nicely.

Sergio is back on K9 to release his 2nd EP. The last EP soared high in the Beatport charts so we are hoping for a repeat performance. Since then he has also remixed the fantastic single 'Quibonce' by Fabian Argomedo and so we thought it was fitting to get Fabian to remix one of the tracks on his EP.

Hypnotrip is a fitting title as it is a truly hypnotic track that slowly evolves and morphs into different forms whilst maintaining a repetitive hook that keeps you mind locked.

Parabolica flips the mood completely and offers some funk to proceedings. Much lighter in feel but with punch in all the right places. Fabian stripes back the original in his remix and delivers something much more minimal in nature. The subby bassline and repetitive vocals sends the mood back to a more hypnotic feel.

Ivan Pica is no stranger to the house scene but don't expect straight up house. His bouncing house grooves have been replaced by dark brooding melodic tones, underpinned but stripped back percussion. As a result this EP has a somewhat eerie mood but with uplifting progressions that make it perfect for basement clubs in the small hours.

Kicking things off we have 'Dark Rainbow', this is the darker sibling in the package. A raw chunky groove create a dark backdrop that's intersected by resonant synths and floating pads. The combination of over-worldly vocals creates a chilling moment before dropping back into the groove. A real dark room atmospheric number.

'My Inspiration' follows with a more uplifting note. Here a lot of the atmosphere comes from the sustained bass that gentle opens and closes through out the track to reveal something more sinister. It's the bell like tones that provide symmetry and contrast and again pads are used to great effect in the breakdowns to create mystery.

We really like Ivan's new direction and we think you will be just as appreciative.

Following on from the success of the Bamboo EP Alvaro is back on K9 with another hard hitting release for 2014.

The unmistakable Alvaro groove is ever present throughout the EP but he highlights his contrasting styles at the same time.

Retro is Alvaro as you would expect - high energy, swinging drums and a solid bassline.

Raw Cut brings thing down a bit with a pure chunky groove that you can't help but move too.

Cadencia is a bit of a grove record but the interest and excitement comes largely from the many variations of live percussion.

Fly Me Over takes things a bit old school with diva vocal snippets and 909 and 808 drum samples.

This time we have scaled down the sampler slightly to just 5 tracks as we feel this is a more manageable number to digest. With the larger samplers there is always the chance that tracks and artists get lost or forgotten.

With the new edition we welcome 6 new artists to the label. Inaki Santos, Carlo Toma, Jack Floyd, Das Orlando, Slimfit and Ricky Scardia.
