Two modular synthesizers, dozens of cables, an analog drummachine set the pace - the live setup of Kabelkai & Pipsi is ready for action. Behind alle of their cables there is an idea, they are the verses in the poem of the night. Kabelkai & Pipsi set out on a field trip into sound, setting the sails on sine waves. In real time endless pulse width reaches out while cyberbirds sing their song from the rooftops. The house is filled with Ambient, Downbeat und Slomo-Techno. The two musicians WEDER (Hamburg) and Philip Hutter (Munich) had to first survive many parties together until they finally got talking on their modular synths and decided to bend sounds as a liveact. Their first gig, left one of them standing without his trousers, while the other ran into a nearby forest to look for the cyber-birds. But they were only to be found in depths of the modular sound. Meanwhile the audience had closed off the dancefloor with hazard tape. 


Zwei Modular-Synthis, dutzende Kabel, den Takt gibt eine analoge Drummachine - damit steht das Live Set von Kabelkai & Pipsi - die beiden gehen auf Klangforschungsreise, setzen die Segel auf den Sinuswellen. In Echtzeit erstrecken sich endlose Pulsweiten, Cyber-Vögel trällern ihr Lied von den Dächern. Das Haus ist gefüllt mit Ambient, Downbeat und Slomo-Techno. Die beiden Musiker WEDER (Hamburg) und Philip Hutter (München) mussten erst viele Partys gemeinsam überleben ehe sie beide vom jeweiligen Modular-Synth des anderen erfuhren und daraufhin beschlossen als Liveact Sounds zu verbiegen. Bereits beim ersten Testgig verlor der eine seine Hose, während der andere im nahegelegenen Wald verschwand, um die Cyber-Vögel zu suchen - doch sie waren nur in den Tiefen des Modular-Sounds zu finden.  Unterdessen hatte das Publikum den Rave mit rot-weißem Flatterband abgeriegelt. Hinter jedem ihrer Kabel steckt eine Idee, sie sind die Verse im Gedicht der Nacht.

Je te propose un nouveau set de mon projet Non Binary Beats : j'ai fais l'expérience de construire un set autour de l'idée d'un Reggaeton Psychedélique, qui fait entrer en trance à travers une évolution des rythmiques afro-latines... Partant du reggaeton, passant par le dembow, la guaracha, le latincore ou la cumbia rebajada, influencé par la trance, l'acid, le gabber, la bass music ou la psy.. 

C'est le fruit de plus d'un an de recherche esthetique autour de la scène musicale d'Hybrid club qui est en pleine éclosion, de découverte de nombreux producteur.ices latin.x.s qui tentent de faire résonner autrement leur culture. 

Je vous souhaîte une belle écoute, je prends les retours et j'ai à cœur de partager cette vibe sur des dancefloor. 
Je remercie le Ciel Grenoble chez qui je suis en résidence longue pour ce projet, la grange et la bandage party pour les crash test du set sur un dancefloor et RTL3 en radio, et surtout chichiga, bee et patt pour leurs retours précieux dessus...
Et surtout les artistes dont je me suis servi pour ce set.

Tuve la experiencia de construir un set en torno  a la idea del Reggaeton Psicodélico, que introduce el trance a través de una evolución de ritmos afrolatinos...
Empezando por el reguetón, pasando por el dembow, guaracha, latincore o cumbia rebajada, influenciadas por el trance, el acid, el gabber, el bass music o la psy..

Es el fruto de más de un año de investigación estética en torno a la escena musical de Hybrid Club que está en pleno florecimiento, del descubrimiento de numerosos productor.x.s latin.x.s que intentan hacer resonar su cultura de otra manera.

Non Binary Beats 

I  had the experience of building a set around the idea of a psychedelic reggaeton, which brings you to transe through an evolution of Afro-Latin Rhythms
Starting from Reggaeton, going thourhg dembow, guaracha, latincore or cumbia rebajada

24 mixes before xmas, day 19 : with Fanny

For this last episode of Chant Magnétique, Zero Crossing Point asked his community to send sounds that they recorded, to be used as the material for creating the music of the show.
The constraint was the following: one sound per track, where everything was created from a single source. 
Random recordings are turned into vast ambient soundscapes, or even a full techno track including percussion and psychedelic sounds.
