For over fifteen years, ZU's modus operandi of straddling and abusing musical genres has resulted in over fifteen unique album releases across labels such as Ipecac, Atavistic and Headz (Japan). Their experimental amalgam of metal, math, no-wave, noise and electronics, led acclaimed composer John Zorn to describe their sound as "a powerful and expressive music that totally blows away what most bands do these days".

01 The Unseen War

Rolo Tomassi, the female-fronted British band NME dubbed “mathcore noise bastards (and bastress),” release their North American debut album, Grievances, on July 7 via Ipecac Recordings. The band will be releasing the record in the UK, Australia and Europe through Holy Roar on June 1st and Austrlia/NZ through Shock on June 5th. 

The band, which hails from Sheffield, formed in 2005, taking their name from the film L.A. Confidential.  While Rolo Tomassi have yet to release an album Stateside, the band has toured the U.S. with Jane’s Addiction and saw their 2010 album, Cosmology, produced by Diplo. Pitchfork said singer Eva Spence is, “equally comfortable singing in a glassy, ethereal coo and a glasses-shattering screech.”

The band will also be main support on all Fall Of Troy UK and European dates this coming August. They will also be playing at Arctangent Festival (along with Fall Of Troy, Deafheaven, 65Daysofstatic, Dillinger Escape Plan), and of course, have their own set of release week shows in London from June 1st - June 4th
