Premise: A girl has a hard time making friends and adjusting to college life. Her diary comes to life and she retreats into an imaginary world of her own making.

I rewrote this song like 6 times because the mood was hard to capture, it ranged from a cheerful guitar campfire-ish song to super angsty orchestra. Settled on this happy middle, and I'm really liking how it came out! Kinda Dear Evan Hansen-y.

Demo soundtrack for upcoming pilot The Mirroverse. Details to be added soon!

Jeremy's old room, early morning. We open with a shot of a picture of Jeremy, Bea, and his mom lying on top of a pile of clothes in a suitcase. Then we cut to a shot of Jeremy looking down into the suitcase. He sighs, and grabs his journal.

BEA (o.s): Jeremy! It’s almost time to go, you ready?

JEREMY (looking offscreen): Yeah! I'll be right down!

He closes the lid. We get another shot of the photograph as the lid closes over it, revealing the title: MIRRORVERSE. The title disappears as the suitcase slides offscreen.

Now we have a shorter establishing shot of Jeremy's room. He's about to leave, but stops and looks back. He sighs. We can still see remnants of him living there for the past fourteen years: glow stars stuck to his ceiling, some posters on the wall (science and superhero themed), and even some strange instruments - his old inventions - leaning against the wall. His bed is made. It looks lived in, but also abandoned.

Move to a shot of Jeremy standing directly in front of his space-superhero themed poster, to make it look like he’s inside of it, staring into the galaxy.

JEREMY: Guess this is goodbye for now.

Kids' Mom: Kids!

JEREMY (Looking behind him): Coming!

He rushes out of his room. We’re still on the poster shot: when he leaves, he reveals the words “ADVENTURE!” behind him.

Bea comes in, rolling a large suitcase behind her. She sets it down.

JEREMY: Yep!

BEA: Nervous?

JEREMY, with more hesitation: Yep.

BEA: Don't worry. I'll be right there with you! You'll be fine!

JEREMY: If you say so...

Bea and Jeremy lug their suitcases into Bea's car. Their mom gets a few hugs in before they squeeze into the vehicle and drive off, waving at her as they go.
The day begins to progress, and we see the landscape changing as the sun sinks lower and lower in the sky. Then, as the music begins to swell up, they pass a sign: 'Welcome to Pewter Hills'. We see Jeremy writing in his journal. He puts it down.

JEREMY:
