Lebron - Original Stories (13 - 11 - 2021)

Mix number 12. A personal milestone and a checkpoint to look back at and be proud of. Creating a mix for me is a weird process. I consume the tracks over months and even years, put them in playlists and imagine what kind of ride I can take us on. There’s tracks that fit better towards the start of a mix, and there’s tracks that sound better towards the end. Everything in between is improv magic for me. I know what sort of order I want to go in, but I never systematically know exactly what order they’re going to be played. Sometimes I get up and I know I’m going to bang one out to my best ability. Sometimes I get to minute 35 or 50 and just turn off the cdj’s. It’s a fun and psychotic way of always wanting to put my best foot forward and illustrate sounds that will please all our ears. 

This mix goes out to the homie Pandazos. One thing I’ve noticed and love about pandazos is that he brings excitement to anything. He’s just one of those guys that radiates excitement, even for the most mundane things. He doesn’t even try. We can be out shopping for different types of rice to cook, and it will be exciting. The way his big curls bounce up and down, the way his bulky body walks through the market aisles lol.. he’s just a fun ass dude that I’ve known my whole adolescence to now, but have only recently grown a more tighter brotherhood. That’s the gift I appreciate from Pandazos. The excitement. Also, the guy is an artist in the kitchen. He cooked me breakfast, lunch, dinner and MIDNIGHT SNACKS for 7 days straight. I would have starved in the Costa Rican jungles without him. He makes beautiful somethings out of literally nothing in the kitchen. This mix is a little more minimal driven, like how he likes em, but I still add my little flavor of what I love from that genre.

2021 is coming to a close and 40+ heart-centered, beautiful souls came together on our rooftop terrace to celebrate. 

It was a magical night of dancing, deep conversations, bonding, and witnessing the NYE spectacle that Medellin offers of non-stop fireworks all around us. We went till the sun rose... smiles on our faces, hearts full, we welcomed the first day in a state of blissful gratitude.

Here's a taste of my 2022 musical offering that was delivered from just past midnight to 2:30am. 

I hope you feel the intention of this mix which was joyful, lifting, and spiritual. We all need much more of that in these uncertain, crazy times to give us the strength to step into our true, divine, selves.  ❤️🔥🙏🏽

A special set played at Middle East's largest music festival - MDL Beast. 

One of my very few Afro House sets which I enjoyed mixing at this special occasion. I named the set "Gwara Gwara" after a famous South African dance to reflect its energy.

The set is a mix of latin, afro, and melodic sounds building up slowly and peaking midway throughout the set.

■ Marcio Colazingari, produtor de Música Impopular Brasileira [MIB], iniciou seu beat sensus sonoro ainda nos anos 2000. Sempre conectado ao software e à música binária e computacional, seu primeiro contato com os sintetizadores digitais com a sombra dos modulares ocorreu com a primeira geração da família de produtos REASON no ano de 2006. Ano passa e ano volta, eis que incorporou outros produtos computacionais tais como a arquitetura CSound, Pure Data, Cubase, Logic e Ableton Live ao seu campo de pesquisas e produções sonoras. Estudante da teoria musical conservadora, em pouco tempo abandonou a escola tradicional ao conhecer a fantástica obra Harmonia de Arthur Schopenhauer e as maravilhas do mundo atonal, dodecafônico e atemporal.Entre os anos de 2007 e 2010 atuou na experimental Orqestra, sem U, de laptops de São Paulo, com apresentações nos Sescs, Festival File e Virada Cultural. Em 2008 , após conhecer o real sintetizador Modular Moog, criou o projeto de músicas minimalistas praticadas ao vivo : Moog Control Live. Com este último nome, lançou durante os anos de 2007 a 2010 alguns álbuns minimalistas pela Ideal Techno de Berlin e a Miniatura Records da Argentina. Após longo inverno musical retorna com novas criações eletrônicas e minimalistas. ■ Gleiber Totti DJ e colecionador vivendo a música a mais de 2 décadas , sua trajetória começou no jungle & drum n bass e ao longo dos anos desenvolveu uma pesquisa sonora autenticada e refinada vinda do leste europeu, complementando também suas produções e buscando sempre inovação , com passagens por clubs como Dedge ,Clash , Hoje assina a curadoria da festa LEVEL LO referência na cena underground.
