After an intense year Kadie Elder, a duo consisting of singer and songwriter Anders Rask and guitarist, songwriter and producer Morten Kærup Hjort, diligently used the time to write and produce new songs that shows that the duo has found a new vantage point and ventured away from their past sound, from electronic alternative folk to a cleaner and more consistent pop expression - something that is expressed on their upcoming EP, which is set for release in late October 2015.
Back in 2013 Kadie Elder released their self-titled and critically acclaimed debut EP, which landed the band live-slots at both Roskilde and Spot Festival in Denmark and Berlin Music Week in Germany. Since then Kadie Elder also played support for the Alphabeat leadsinger Stine Bramsen and Danish electronic rockers Turbo Weekend.
In September 2014 the band released their first single "First Time He Kissed A Boy" from their upcoming EP - A single that has been played frequently at both Danish Radio P3 and P4. The video has also achieved a great overwhelming attention especially on YouTube, with over 700.00 viewings that daily increases by approximately 5000-10000 views. Especially the gay community in Denmark and in the rest of the world has paid attention to the band after the release of the artistic video. The single has also been featured in a major German TV-series called "Der Lehrer" on the nationwide channel RTL NOW.
