“Slowly” was written by taking a step back and realizing everything isn’t what it seems. Friends change, home won’t feel like “home” anymore, and everything just isn’t as exciting. The scariest thing to see change is the one you love the most. Realizing how fast everything can go by, it makes you want to slow down and enjoy them. Savoring every moment of your young love life. It’s important to really grasp what the feelings are because soon this could all feel distant too. This song is about running from the reality of change and time.
