Dissident mainstay Abstrakt.Digital returns to the label following his top 5 multi-genre release “Vox Aeterna” earlier this year! With Shadow, AD calls forth a darker driving progressive sound, summoning arcane forces and employing ancient hermetic principles to bring balance to dance floors everywhere; and enlisting two legendary remixers in the process. We’ve been excited for this release for some time, and we are happy to share it with you now.

The original mix is a straight up 4/4 progressive banger, a certified floor-mover worthy of the wizardry it calls to mind. Lush melodies intertwine themselves with mystic chants and driving beats to deliver a treat for progressive and melodic house lovers everywhere. Gai Barone takes things to an even deeper and darker place, while Noel Sanger turns in a belter of a dirty progressive breaks remix. Both remixers add their inimitable touch while remaining true to the spirit of the original, for a properly well-rounded package.

This Shadow falls across the land just in time for Spooky Season, and will release worldwide on Halloween. We hope you love this one just as much as we do!

This has been a simple and greatly effective source of personal joy for a few years now : pitching down early techno tunes, cheesy trance tracks and various EBM productions, all from some sort of "golden era" between 1990 and 1995...

Slowing down 145BPM warehouse bangers to sexy and sweaty 110bpm "burners" may not work for every oldskool tekno tune, but for the ones I'm sharing here, I think something magic happens, greasy synths and zombified bleeps come back to life for a delicious post tribal renaissance... Well at least that's how they sound to me ;)

For the most part, only non-quantized pitch-down has been applied, a few editing and loops added here and there, but the idea is to re-discover and reveal, not remixing, obviously.

Of course the 33/+8 recipe is nothing new, I've just been doing it for my own pleasure and my dj sets until now, but what's a good thing if you don't share it? Hope you enjoy the slomotionization

Magna Recordings celebrated 20 years this May. Our first two vinyl releases, Carlos Manaça “Feel The Drums” and Peter Tha Zouk & Bruno Marciano “The First Tribal Feeling” were released at the same time, on May 2000 and were an immediate success. 

To celebrate our 20 years in the music business we’re going to release some of our most iconic releases remixed by some of our favourite producers.

Saeed Younan is one of them. He started djying in 1988 but was as part of the Saeed & Palash duo that his name took off. The duo delivered great tracks and remixes on their own Addictive Records and other labels and their dark tribal sound became famous all over the globe. When the duo ended, Saeed kept on producing great music and djying on the main events worldwide, like Space Ibiza last night in 2016, invited by the only and only Carl Cox. Since 2004 manages his own Younan Music, one of the first digital-only labels.

This pack also has a new version by Pete The Zouk himself and new-mastered versions of the 2000 original mix and Paul Jays remix, also included on the 2000 original vinyl release.

After half a decade of constant touring and producing, it’s safe to say Kadosh’s growth has been truly remarkable. These days, he regularly crisscrosses the globe, playing at some of the planet’s leading spots. A typical weekend can be Blue Marlin in Ibiza, Nitsa in Barcelona, Fabric in London, or Watergate in Berlin.

The Americas have also quickly fallen under his spell, with Central America regularly experiencing his dancefloor wizardry, whether it’s at Bar Americas in Mexico, Stereo in Montreal, or SXM Festival in the Caribbean. In 2024, Kadosh expanded his horizons further, with summer residencies in Ibiza and Cyprus.
