@kafka-1: I know this is a late reply but Soundcloud's notification system is seemingly terrible and I never saw this! I'm really grateful for the critique and 3 years down the line from writing this being no longer a beginner (not that I'm an expert now by any means) I agree with everything you said. It could all definitely do with a bit more subtlety!

I like this Kafka. The whole track has a sort of triumphant and optimistic tone to it, while the warbling bass works that primeval feel into it too.  In particular, I like how the percussion is polyrhythmic  - it adds an element of technicality which very few other electronic artists incorporate into their work.  I have been looking for something like this for ages! My only suggestion might be to scale back the number of 16th notes on the kick drum a bit to make it less busy, while still retaining that syncopated feel.  Or maybe you could reduce the attack on each note so they sound less like a Lars Ulrich beat and meld better into the mix, making it a bit more ambient. Just my unqualified opinion though! Keep up the good work. 

This probably isn't done at all but I'm so pleased I managed to make a track that I'm uploading it unfinished.
