Mungo's HiFi- SUBDUB

On the 30th December 2013, myself and DJ Stryda met up and put this mix together. For those that aren't familiar with Stryda, he has been a stalwart veteran in the roots scene in Bristol for many years and is half of the internationally acclaimed group, Dubkasm [https://soundcloud.com/dubkasm]

The aim of this mix, much like the other recent roots mixes I have put together, was to piece together and showcase an array of sound and styles that have influenced the music that both me and Stryda create, records that have helped form a foundation for us as musicians and selectors. 

I chose some favourites of mine from Stryda's vast record collection and we started recording. A journey in to dub.

Last year I made a survey on my Instagram and most people voted for a 130bpm episode (EP08) but close behind a lot voted for a Roots Reggae episode so I thought now is the time for it and who would be better to join me in a all vinyl roots reggae b2b than my long time friend and brother in crime @anotherchannel.

На заглавном треке сингла слушателя ждёт умиротворяющая гармония и загадочная глубина. Это погружение к корням – к идеям любви, доброты и мира, которые вдохновляют авторов на творчество, где проводником является образ Ихтиандра. Connoisseurs of deep intellectual electronics are familiar with Heavenchord. Since 2015, the artist has released more than a hundred releases on reputable imprints. His work is based on experiments and sound synthesis, reflecting the legacy of classic dub techno.

In recent years, Arthur and his family have lived near Armavir, away from megacities and noisy parties. He wrote this track together with his wife — Infinity Dots. We have long been inspired by the guys' music and it is a great honor for us to present this beauty to the world.

On the title track of the single, the listener will find a peaceful harmony and mysterious depth. This is an immersion in the roots - to the ideas of love, kindness and peace that inspire the authors to create, and the guide here is the image of Ichthyander (literary character from the novel by Аlexander Belyaev "Amphibian man"). The second track of the single with a more contemplative vibe develops the main theme of a dissolving, hypnotic atmosphere. Follow the sound and discover new depths.

Mooncast #34 - Mack

On February 2nd, dance music titan Eric Prydz returned to the hallowed BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix decks, taking control of the airwaves for two hours of forward-thinking electronic music. This marked Prydz’ return to the Essential Mix show for the first time since late 2011, when it was recorded live from his set at Creamfields. The reaction to the show on Saturday was so big that it got the Essential Mix trending on Twitter on both sides of the Atlantic while it was being aired.
