Today is a good day. We’ve got a mix from Silkie.

In our 4,5 years of existence, we have endlessly tried and failed to get this man behind the decks to make an exclusive mix for us. The man is so busy having fun touring the world, that the closest we got to it was a <a href="http://bigupmag.com/portfolio/eleven/" target=blank>6-page-spread interview in Big Up 11</a>, where Silkie shared what annoys him, how he saved a life, and that making beats is not really that fun for him.

Last Saturday Silkie finally recorded a mix for us while playing at Wobble in Rio De Janeiro. Mind you, it is a live set, complete with 4 rewinds, a couple of needle skips, and naturally the latest tricks sand dubs Silkie’s got in his bag. So listen up, it’s a long 1,5 hr ride, as soulful as ever, which might bring back some memories…

Khruangbin are the Texas based three-piece that make psychedelic, acid jazz infused Thai funk music. Oh yes. Comprised of Laura Lee, Mark Speer and Donald Johnson, the trio have supported Bonobo across his USA tour and even had a track included in his Late Night Tales mix last year.LNT's artist label Night Time Stories subsequently signed them up, with single 'A Calf Born In Winter' released 19th May and an album in the works. Providing the soundtrack to your dreams and entering i-D's mid-week wind down session for their first ever mix, these are the psychedelic sounds of Khruangbin. Drift off.

We've got Arctic to supply us a mix with strictly only his own releases, dubplates and forthcoming material. Alongside this we had a little chat with him ahead of his release for our debut Compliation.

What are your earliest memories of getting involved in music, did you play any instruments before you got into DJing/Producing?

"My older brother used to hook me up with cassette tapes when I was really young, music ranging from Michael Jackson, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Queen, Blur, etc. As I grew up I learned the bass guitar and played in a couple of bands, went on tour, etc. Hip-hop had always been there, I was obsessed with the Beastie Boys & saw ‘em when I was 12. Another group i was obsessed with from early was The Prodigy - I’ve always kept an open mind when it comes to music. Later into my teenage years, I was getting more into UKG and jungle, going out raving, etc. Like a lot of people, discovering dubstep around 06 changed a lot for me and it was around then I started learning how to mix. Production came a few years after when I moved to Australia."

Who/what were your first inspirations to make music?

"This will always fall down to my younger brother Pete. We grew up doing the band thing and have always been surrounded by music. Pete got into production a year or 2 before me and I’ve learnt everything from hanging out in his studio. He’s a rude producer, a proper sound boy and made quite an impact on the dnb scene: www.soundcloud.com/harvestdj "

Who/what are your current influences that have made an impact on your production style?

"Hawaiian pizza, WWE & ECW.

Raw grime riddims, bumpy old school garage, UK hiphop, some gully jump up dnb + plenty of roots/dub/reggae - that’s me in a nutshell tbh.  I do enjoy a lot of ambient, post-rock stuff too, check my alias: www.soundcloud.com/youngandold "

What is the favorite show you've played/been involved in so far?

"My favourite show has to be at Tumble Audio, Nottingham (back in September of this year). Took me about 5 days to recover man."

What's the scene like for you in Melbourne?

I also co-run a grime night called 50/50: www.facebook.com/5050grime

Melbourne is absolutely sick and I’m very happy living here, it’s been almost 5 years now and I don’t think I could ever move back to Birmingham."

What does 2015 have in store for Arctic?

"I have a track, ‘Bubba Ray’, featured in the Simply Deep compilation which is full of plenty of sick producers.  Following that is a 5 track EP with Tumble Audio, a couple of compilation features and a remix TBA, all due next year."

Welcome to the Full Circle mix series. Here we will be taking you through all the genres of the underground, showcasing an eclectic selection of DJs from up and down the country.

For our second installment, we have an eclectic deep 140 vinyl mix from Sub.FM/FatKidOnFire residents and local duo Six Sunsets, packed with unreleased dubplates and UK classics.

Six Sunsets are a Newcastle-based producer/DJ duo who specialise in 140bpm bass, breaks and steps, holding a fortnightly residency on Sub FM. Their forthcoming white-label “6S001” record marks the second of two major releases they’ve had since their foundation in October 2014 and the pair have made a noisy debut onto the festival circuit over summer 2015, culminating in an appearance at Boomtown Fair. Their debut EP was released on FatKidOnFire in March 2015, with tracks receiving support from the likes of Coki, Compa, AxH, Raggs, Conscious Pilot, Lojt, ENME and Sinerise, as well as playouts and promos from Duploc, Infernal Sounds, Rood FM and BBC Radio.

A member of Sureskank, an associate of Kahn & Neek's Bandulu and a co-owner of the Sector 7 Sounds label, life's pretty bright right now for the blossoming producer, Boofy. Part of a close-knit clique of Bristol based producers making rig shaking, grime influenced music he'll be appearing in Room Two on 22nd January so, ahead of the event, we caught up with him to figure out exactly what he's been in up to in the time since we heard from him last. The second episode of Ampere Archives comes from the skilled hands of Joe "Synkro" Mcbride, the ginger glass wearing producer from Manchester. Since he found a new home at Apollo, sub-label of the iconic Belgian R&S Records, it was no surprise to find him on the bill of the R&S 'In Order To Dance' Weekender in December last year. Through atmospheric melodies and heady bass lines he created an easy but moody listening, illustrating influences from a wide spectrum of bass culture and electronica by decorating his story with inventive and touching soundscapes.  The overwhelming layers of lugubrious synths flowing over edgy beats and miniature voices like waves, leave you behind a little woozy. Perfect for some afternoon relaxing or to wind down an endless afterparty.
