After a long break, I am happy to share with you my latest uptempo house set. It continues the theme of “love” which I set out on in my last house mix –  with a selection that ranges from upbeat Disco House over funky and soulful melodies to some occasional Hip/Hop samples, but never letting go of the grooooove. Give it a listen and lose yourself in a state of Dionysian Joy…

For De Reünie Mix Series 001 who could we invite other than the De Reünie founders themselves - Cybersex!

Cybersex are an Amsterdam based duo in constant pursuit of the purest form of groove and rhythm. Elements of dub, house, and techno flow through their sound—but not at the tempo you’re used to. Playing at a fast pace, they reshape tracks beyond recognition, weaving in glitchy synthesisers, modulators, and an array of drum machines. At the heart of it all is their ongoing evolution, always searching for new rhythms and fresh energy.

This set was recorded in their studio in Haarlem, starting at a lower BPM than usual to ease into the groove. Highlights include the slow yet sexy transition at 13:20–13:50, a standout vocal and rhythm section at 26:20–26:45, and South American-inspired grooves at 38:15–38:55. As the energy builds, 57:05–57:35 brings a loopy, housy rhythm, while 1:16:00–1:16:20 delivers dreamy vocals layered over hypnotic loops. Enjoy the ride!
