Made the track using the samples provided by Bruno, just laid it out and created my ultimate beat, before stripping it down and introducing every new detail one by one. It's very repetitive because that is what minimal techno is, a nice beat with nothing but the essentials.

Kai's Crazy Banger aka musc-9-minimal

Experimental, weird sounding song, that is kind of catchy and quirky. Bunch of reversing and combining sounds to get a weird but nice pulsing sound. It was a very serious and almost spooky sounding track, so I threw in some slightly humorous sounds and patterns in a light-hearted attempt to throw off and mix up the feel of the track. Used plug-ins to create a noticeably different sound despite being the same sample.

Kai Musc-9-Concrete Music

Pretty much started with a list of songs I thought I'd want to sample. Ended up sounding terrible so I made a lot of adjustments, some parts of the song I really like, others I don''t. Layered the initial part of scholarships to get that in and out pulsing form the beginning. I started wanting a "woo" from MJ which turned into wanting to do a kind of mix and mash using weird MJ sounds, which turned to using MJ songs. My song is largely unfinished, but is kind of funny, where you can hear i edited MJ's song so it says exactly what it is not meant to. THen just started playing around with other MJ songs... the end was pretty bad, I just hit a massive wall and threw my hands in the air.

I read on the news that Hillary won the popular vote, but didn’t win the election, which could now cause significant problems for a lot of people in the US, including friends, family, and so on. Therefore, the electoral college isn’t truly representative of the people. Trump is sexist, racist, and has a pending rape case. People were against Hillary because she was a “criminal”, and so what about Trump? While Trump obviously has somewhat normal supporters, he also has the KKK, among other very ignorant people who, as I watched on youtube, think it’s not fair to straight couples for gay couples to get married, supporting him.

Not Sure musc-9-audiobio

Took a rain sample, the ambient sound from the sci-fi project with a pitch shifter, a small guitar loop that was time stretched and used a calf reverb, a thunder sample, and a heart monitor sample, threw them all together, and this is the result. I was aiming for a nice, simple track that had enough, but not too much. I didn't want to overload the senses, but provide the listener with just enough.

So sleepy musc-9-ambient

Sideways Staircase, as it builds and climbs upon itself. Spent a lot more time on this project than my others. Didn't like the draft I showed Bruno, so I found a cool bass sound to build my track off of. This is the end result, almost all of the other sounds are from a set of electronic drum samples i found and downloaded online. Threw in some Michael Jackson sounds as I loved it in one my earlier projects.
