In the early beginnings of David’s musical journey, he stayed awake to tape-record live radio broadcasts by major Italian clubs, then created his original compilations, all with an old stereo. As soon as he laid hands on his first pair of Pioneer CDJ-100s in 2004, he began to spread his holistic, broad-minded collection of dance music with deep, funky, afro, tech, soulful, melodic to minimal house influences.
It brought him to Magazzini Generali, Amnesia, Leoncavallo, Milano Design Week and Milano Fashion Week in Italy, and to other parts of the world like Germany, Spain, Turkey, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Singapore, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, playing alongside artists like Nic Fanciulli, Davide Squillace, Idriss D, EarthLife, DOBé, Cats on Crack, Rammo, Cosmo & Kramer, Rolandson, Francesco Farfa and Adriano Canzian.
Currently he is living in Singapore, and he is bringing his set in clubs and events like Headquarters, Tuff Club, Somewhere, Kilo Lounge, Manifest, Ce La Vi, Tanjong Beach Club, Sunday Social and BeerFest Asia. During the pandemic he participated in one of the live streamings of United We Stream Asia too.
David’s love of radio also led him to host his own program, Sinestesia the exploration of 5 senses in music, since 2010 on the italian BM radio, and from 2020 on Ibiza Live Radio, 103.7 FM in Ibiza and Formentera and by mobile app and official website www.ibizaliveradio.com for the rest of the world.
Production side, with his best friend Michel Meroni, is part of the duo A1kS (A Thousand Shades), a collaboration that seeks to explore and express “a thousand shades” of electronic music. Armed with bonus knowledge of analog machines and music production software and sequencers, the duo has released their first single “Dark Rituals” in 2020 for the Barcelona-based WOOD Records.

He has been into electronic music since the early days (the late 80s, early 90s, New Beat, Acid House even hardcore gabber at some point), and started buying/mixing vinyl, mostly Detroit Techno/Electro and Chicago House. From 2010 on with the digitalization of dance music in general I started to explore the later subgenres: Minimal, Tech House, Dub Techno, Micro House, and Romanian Tech.

He wandered into the darkness, seeking the fringes of the dubwise sound. It was electronic music that skirted around and sometimes delved into the traits of dub, dub techno, and minimal techno. It captured some essence of these traits, making it skirt around the fringes of dubwise.
The music was hypnotic, a mix of rhythms and melodies that transported him to another world. For hours, he danced with the others, lost in the sound.
But he knew he was still an outsider, only partially accepted by the core group of musicians and fans. He continued to attend the nightly gatherings, always searching for something more.
One night, he saw a flyer for a dubwise music festival. Without hesitating, he went, hoping to find a place where he truly belonged.
As he danced and played his music, he realized that he had found his tribe, a group of people who shared his passion for the fringes of the dubwise sound. And even though he was still an outsider in some ways, he felt more at home than ever.
As the festival ended, he knew the journey had only begun. The fringes of the dubwise sound were constantly expanding, always changing, and he was ready to explore them.

Joshua Arocha - DJ/Producer born and raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic, discovered his passion for electronic music at the age of 17 and has been a dedicated enthusiast of the genre ever since. At 21, he entered the DJ scene with the intention of collaborating with Good Mouse and creating more than just music, but rather music with feeling. By the age of 22, he started producing, and his name is now associated with labels such as Miniline, Habitat, Sequencer, and Rave Music.
