Summertime

You Go To My Head

Leave it all and leave alone while weather’s just a rain
It won’t be long till all is gone and buried in a hurricane
And take my word it won’t take long till taken by surprise
For every hill I see is standing with Goliath in her eyes
Silent with Goliath in her eyes

The birds have taken wing now as the winds begin to call
Won’t take them long to wash away this writing on the wall
And though the well is roused and ready soon to flood its trail
Still not a soul will move - they know it’s only rain and hail
From those windows and walls, it’s only rain and hail

I watch them tumble through the storm - the trees torn from the ground
Tumbling through its tyranny till all in chaos drown
Yet I cannot hear anything, not one cry through the storm
Just the hush of firewood from this mountain safe and warm
From this mountain alone, it’s only safe and warm
