Before Scott Joplin became the prototypical composer of ragtimes, he published some waltzes and songs in 3/4 time. The first one of these was "Please say you will".
I have arranged this song for a six-voice trombone choir and present it here for your enjoyment.

Inspired by John D. Cook‘s blog post on St. Christopher (https://www.johndcook.com/blog/2021/05/01/humming-st-christopher/ ) I recorded this hymn on tenor and soprano trombones. Unfortunately my embouchure on the soprano trombone‘s trumpet mouthpiece is still lousy.

This song was composed by Roland Unger while he was cutting his fingernails.  It became the opening song on the band's only full-length album and was recorded in 2003 at Hot Pot's rehearsal room at Jugendcafé Simmern/Hunsrück by Jörg Diehl and Simon. Jörg and Simon also did the mixing and mastering.

VA.EOS is a software system that I once worked on as part of my job as a programmer. EOS stands for "E-Book ordering system" and one day when we were to release a new version of VA.EOS, I sent this cover of Falco's "Amadeus" to my colleagues. There were all too baffled by my chutzpa, so nobody said a word about it :-D

As a youngster I played in the village brass band of Uhler, a punk band called Rechargeable, my school‘s HJG Big Band, and the ska band Hot Pot. After a hiatus of roughly 15 years I took the trombone into my hands again, when Covid-19 hit and we had to find meaningful ways to stay at home.
