Lena De Roose managed to become a household name in Ghent’s scenery seemingly overnight. Amicably dubbed ‘The Queen of Closings’, Lena's joyous but relentless sets packed with Rave, Hard Techno and Hardcore influences have taken the harder dance floors of Belgium by storm. Her nifty sets are the result of cherry picking some obscure music from often very overlooked artists, leaving plenty to discover throughout.

In 1980s Germany, brilliant surgeon Dr. Kenzo Tenma saves a young boy instead of a politician—only to learn years later that the child has become a ruthless killer. Haunted by guilt, Tenma embarks on a perilous journey across Europe to stop the monster he once saved, uncovering a dark web of secrets and the true nature of evil itself.

From a philosophical perspective, the anime explores—among other themes—the question of what “absolute evil” truly is, and whether it can exist at all. This leads to a profound moral dilemma: if absolute evil does not exist, can someone devoted to preserving life—like a doctor—ever be justified in taking a life? The utilitarian answer seems simple: yes, if one death saves many others. But who has the right to make that decision? With this, Monster draws us directly into the heart of the Trolley Problem—a haunting exploration of morality, responsibility, and the darkness within us all.

Based on the manga by Naoki Urasawa (1994), adapted into an anime series by Madhouse in 2004.
