"Bats" was composed for the "We need a voice" compilation, created by AZH Promo based in Kiev, Ukraine. The compilation's goal is to spread awareness about the political and social situation in that country.

Even though  Ukraine belongs to Europe geographically, it has little in common with the rest of the continent - with the omnipresent oppression of the political opposition, corruption, as well as violence and kidnapings of those who stand against the government. The people of Ukraine need our support - a song is nearly not enough...

I started working on a couple of piano songs that I will release time by time... Since I have no idea how to record (and mixing) a piano, the quality is pretty bad.. You should listen to this song by using good speakers or headphones...

I wrote five songs right before my first homecoming in nine years.
Two years later, I returned again in the same summer.
This album was born between those two moments of saying “I’m home.”
While reliving old memories and searching for the things I’ve lost.

Right now, I’m not doing so well mentally. 
I know this pattern in myself, when I’ve been too euphoric for a while, I eventually crash like a rock. 
The melody kind of reflects that inner sadness I’m feeling at the moment, mixed with emptiness. 
My mind feels blank, but there’s something inside me that I can’t quite grasp, it’s heavy like lead, yet it helps me make music. 
It will get better, I know myself good enough to trust that, it just takes some time to feel grounded again.
Maybe I’ll finally find a musical direction that truly fulfills me?
