Patrick Topping recruits Hyyken for ‘So Good To Me’ on Trick this July. 

Irish DJ/producer Hyyken has been banging out infectious bends of garage, baseline, house and techno on labels like Fresh Take Records, Tech City and Trick, where he last appeared with 'Acid Riddim' in April. His club-friendly style is robust and built to make an impact but never at the expense of fresh musical flavours. 

The brilliantly euphoric 'So Good To Me' is an all-out piano house belter. The drums are packed with punch, the bright chords dart up and down the scales, and a heartfelt vocal is the irresistible icing on the cake. It's full of joy and destined for open-air dance floors, boat parties, and plenty of dance floors in between. 

"It was probably the fastest I'd ever made a track! The weather was getting great again, and I was listening to so much Floorplan, I got a half day off work and went straight to the studio with an idea to make a gospel vocal house track. Audiojack return to Gruuv, with their huge Release Yourself EP. On the A side, Somebody represents a yearning for affection, while EP title track and B side Release Yourself represents getting that affection. Somebody is a nostalgic nod to Audiojack’s love of speed garage and other bass driven music during the heady party days of the 90s, while Release Yourself is a happy evolving groover with the summer dancefloors in mind.

After appearing on Hottrax’s ‘Jams Vol. 1’ alongside Yolanda Be Cool and Fast Eddie, he now steps up for a solo return and delivers three dynamic cuts mixing old-school vibes with new-school energy. 

“This EP was really inspired by Jamie Jones’ sets—the music he plays, the energy he creates, and the tracks I love to listen to and play myself. It’s a fusion of old-school and new-school, blending a lot of styles mixed in these three tracks with a powerful bassline in all of them and a touch of Latin sauce.” - Marian. 

Up first is ‘Hands Up’, a slinky house mood with punchy beats and warping rhythms vibrating through its core. ‘No Paramo’ follows, injecting a playful funk with rolling percussion and crisp bongo accents, nodding to his Brazilian heritage. Closing out, ‘Keep On’ strips things back to a refined, understated groove, balancing deep bass tones with smooth, effortless movement.
