Chapter iv
I knew not what was happening to me. I could feel within my mind, an intrusion. An infection of sorts that was spreading viciously. As it spread, I could sense there no longer being a concept of it being my mind. It was theirs and I was a speck of dirt lurking in the shadows. They stomped and wretched about as though they owned it. As though they owned me.
I gathered my strength, not for a full blown retaliatory assault, rather a clandestine infiltration. To infiltrate the infiltrators. As I observed them closely, I realized we are not that different, and as I inspected further with a gut wrenching epiphany I realized that they are all me. 
And now they were ready to prove their evil to themselves. Yet I knew they were all me and as I stared at each of them, yearning for them to see that, they began transforming into clearer and calmer iterations. Simple reflections of myself, and as I looked about me, I found myself in a kaleidoscope of mirrors. When I looked up I felt myself rising, higher and higher until at last I reached the place I had envisioned before. It was real. And deep within I had always known that. Looking down I saw the kaleidoscope they populated. I noticed it turn dark and violent with them tearing at one another. And, as I looked on, I realized that it was reflected in an infinite series each with their own permutations which lay ahead, which I could determine.
And here I was, afloat and light, almost as though made of light itself, with that universal choice of where I chose to descend to.

Postiljonen is a dream pop trio deriving from Scandinavia. The band emerged quietly back in September 2011 and is composed of Norwegian vocalist Mia Bøe alongside Swedish multi-instrumentalists Daniel Sjörs and Joel Nyström Holm.

After releasing a handful of online only singles in their native Scandinavia (including the heartbreaking interpretation of Whitney Houston’s classic ‘How Will I Know’, renamed here to ‘All That We Had Is Lost’) the trio have managed to create a highly characteristic sound, where ethereal and alluring vocals are interwoven in a mystical, ambient, dreamy and lovable expression. They have been compared to the likes of M83, Air France, Sigur Ros, jj and Cocteau Twins.

Taking inspiration from old black and white movies, the golden 80s, Balearic scenery, sleepless summer nights and describe themselves as nostalgic daydreamers, all of which mirrors beautifully within Skyer’s ten songs.

Featuring singles ‘Supreme’ and Atlantis’, Skyer is summery pop music at its best; made for lazy days and dreamy nights.

Skyer is released on July 22 2013.
