Mars89 is a Dj/Composer currently based in Tokyo.
In 2016 he published a cassette tape & zine bundle named East End Chaos.
In 2017, Bristol-based experimental dub label Bokeh Versions released Mars89’s “Lucid Dream”, an 8-track EP.
In 2018 he released 12inch vinyl named “End Of The Death” from Bokeh Versions.
Mars89 was the music producer for the exclusively created cinematic soundtrack for the Ready-To-Wear brand Growing Pains’s runway at Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo 2018S/S and UNDERCOVER’s runway at Paris Fashion week 2019A/W.
He’s currently the resident dj of Bristol’s Noods Radio.

Mars89は現在東京を拠点に活動しているDJ/Composerである。 2016年にEP”East End Chaos”をリリース。 そして、それを足がかりに2017年に”Lucid Dream EP”をBristolを拠点とするレーベル”Bokeh Versions”からダブプレートとカセットテープというフォーマットでリリース。2018年にはアジアツアーや大型フェスへの出演を経て、Bokeh Versionsから12インチ”End Of The Death”をリリース。主要メディアで高く評価され、あらゆるラジオで繰り返しプレイされた。

Born in 1994, based on Tokyo. He organizes "解体新書 (Kaitai-Shinsho)“ that introducing dance music/electronic music from worldwide underground to Japan with its own perspective.
He mainly works as a freelance writer/editor/journalist under the name of his real name Hiromi Matsubara, and he act as chief editor of "Higher Frequency" that long-established Japanese electronic music media. He use his experiences as a writer and journalist in contact with dance music for track selection as a DJ, with a theme of tradition and innovation, urban and paradise, harmony and chaos, he will face a mix that goes beyond the boundaries of the context with a broad perspective.

EXCLUSIVE: For the first time ever Warlock played a 2hr retrospective of the seminal label Rag and Bone records.

In the fertile period of the early 2000's and onwards, Rag & Bone Records pushed a sound on the fringes of Electro, Breaks, Garage, Dubstep, Grime, Bassline and Footwork, all with a tinge of Techno and a nod to the oldskool Rave.

Artists to release on Rag & Bone include: Warlock, NoYeahNo, Blackmass Plastics, FZV, Drop The Lime, Aaron Spectre, King Cannibal, Kanji Kinetic, Excision, Stagga, Gremino, Squire of Gothos, Valta & Minikin and Riffs.

解体新書 (Kaitai-Shinsho) was launched in January 2017.

解体新書 focuses on reconstructing various styles and contexts of old and new electronic music which are transmitted from all over the world to Tokyo. We are aiming for a unique sight that can be realized because it's from Tokyo's underground dance floor. 

And the label project〈KTSNS〉focuses on releasing music that can be used as a DJ tool in a broad and radical sense.
