We are more than happy to introduce you to our first podcast mixed by our highly respected friend Ismael Alcacari. Since our first meeting a deep friendship has developed. We are even more thrilled that he honored us with his unique sound for the first Kaizencast. We asked him a few questions so you can get a better idea of the first member of the Kaizen family! Why did you choose the orca?
I chose the Orca because it is my favourite animal. I admire its intelligence, its social behaviour and its sophisticated hunting techniques.

First contact with records and the scene?
The first contact with digging culture and electronic underground music I had about 7 years ago in Würzburg. At that time with a strong focus on House and Detroit Techno and Romanian Minimal. Later parties in Berlin like the first treatment parties with Binh and Onur Özer brought great inspiration.

Gigs planned for November?
Since I will be in Madrid for a few months from November, there are no gigs planned. But I will bring my records there - so if there are Madrileños among the listeners, please feel free to contact me.

How would you describe your sound?
Preferably European House or Progressive House, Techno and Trance from the 90s. How the it sounds is left to to the listeners or party guests.

Favourite food?
I like to eat dishes with which I connect beautiful memories. That is because of my origin on the one hand traditional German cuisine and on the other hand Moroccan.

What is your favourite non-electronic song/album?
I don't have a real favourite song. However this is album " ... And Out Come The Wolves" by Rancid (released 1995) is one of the songs I always like to listen to. Here almost every song is a classic.

Last but not least - when was your first kiss?
Unfortunately I can't say that exactly but I would estimate with 13/14 haha.

VIDO's present is up next folks (@m_vido ). She is a friend since our (as she named it) “Summer of Fun” when we made three events (on just one weekend) in different venues around Leipzig. It was the very beginning of our label project. Now she's running Berlin based @metrodrive and distributes her own analogue productions. You can find two unreleased examples of her work in the end of her mix, virtually as a bonus gift. Hvala Marina!
