Rhythmic progression, strength, and conviction. A few words that come to mind when I get lost in the sounds coming from Ch4ins4w’s self-titled album.

Not only is the 15 song tracklist masterfully pieced together, one track effortlessly flowing into the next like a story passed down through generations. The ethereal and mysterious sense of emotion almost guides through the album with a sense of urgency and determination. This is an album you need to set time aside for, you need to experience every track fully because trust me, it’s easy to get spellbound in this piece of work.

“CH4INS4W” fully embodies an out-of-this-world experience. It journeys through so many different emotions that come through the various tempos. The album wrestles with the feeling of nostalgia and emerging into the future, two extremes that come together to create an aura of chaos in the best possible way.

My personal favorite track would be 8. “Charged Up”, which also happens to be stuck right in the middle, a checkpoint if you will. The energy of this piece is right in your face and stays with you even when you set those headphones down.
