Featuring the vocal work of Danielle Moore, the Bristolian producer Maxxi Soundsystem is just about to release his second 12" for Futureboogie, one of our favourite imprints. On it he presents two versions of the track 'Near Me' and new track 'In The Woods' but it's the 'Club Mix' of lead track that we've selected to present to you today, ahead of Maxxi's return to Room One this coming Saturday night (6th June). It's one of those deep and emotive tunes that fits perfectly into those post-3am immersion moments, gloriously carried by the type of soaring bassline and melody combo that we've come to love him for.

After first creeping into the ether through Lazarus’ Radio One Essential Mix back in 2015, the track has been much requested by DJs and fans alike and became a track that stood out in Lazarus’ and Devant’s sets throughout the summer. With its wavy melody and muted vocals courtesy of Ali Love, the track effortlessly cuts through the sounds house sounds of today to lay down a triumphant, classic sounding record.

Premiere: Serge Devant - Always On My Mind

Berlin-based imprint Get Physical continues to enhance it's role as a tastemaker with the latest VA from the label taking the time to shine a light on the impressively developing South African music scene. The compilation, mixed byRyan Murgatroyd brings together a delightful ensemble of talent including the likes of Black Coffee, Bruce Loko, Thor Rixon and Floyd Lavin.

Additionally, Murgatroyd (Innervisions,  Defected) returns to Get Physical to provide 'Kanna' for the occasion. The Cape Town native has crafted a supreme piano-laden groover that we simply cannot get enough of. Check it out in full premiere below. The sixteen track compilation is set for release on March 3rd.
