PREMIERE: Deviu - Existence (Original Mix) [Ear Porn]

Having caught the ears of many progressive fans with his remix of Underworld's 'Two Months Off' on 'Anjunadeep:03', rising US producer DAVI is invited to add his unique magic to two 16 Bit Lolitas gems.



First up, is 'Calling New York'. Full of deep grooves and washing synths, DAVI's version is a hypnotic but uptempo tech-house workout that will get dancefloors pumping every time. As the energy levels bubble, DAVI introduces a washing melodic breakdown before kicking back in to gear with his tweakin' tech groove. 



Taking on '6 O' Clock' next, DAVI conjures a gorgeously trippy progressive gem that captures the hypnotic energy of a 6am dancefloor perfectly. Building waves of groove and synths into an epic crescendo, DAVI's remix reenergises this 16 Bit Lolitas gem for 2011 in fine style. Two contrasting examples of a producer that is bound to go far in the tech and progressive scene.

As the Lanvary ‘double-headed dragon' rises to dizzying heights, its assault on the underground dance scene grows in burning intensity with each successive release. The twin-track "Micromegas" EP continued that trend on Particles in October 2015 as Yin : Yang now returns to the title track with a pair of new remixes.

From the southeastern coastal town of Valencia, Spanish producer, Alex Vidal has been making waves with his distinctive brand of underground progressive house. An accomplished musician, well-versed in Spanish guitar and piano, DJ performances across his hometown at small clubs and private parties provided the perfect basis ground for Vidal to go on to produce his own music. Making his debut for 220V Recordings in September 2013, a host of top tier imprints have played host to Alex Vidal's 300 production credits including Bonzai Progressive, Stellar Fountain and OLD SQL. 

A debut appearance on Yang saw Vidal remix Embliss' "Stronghold" in June 2016 as he now returns to the label with a dancefloor-friendly, bass driven reinterpretation of Lanvary's work that echoes the themes resonant in the original. In conjunction with strong beat and tightly woven house groove, a clave pattern adds further depth before a meandering lead line makes its presence felt in the opening movements. A pulsating array of white-noise effects and spine-tingling pads create suspense and texture as the vocal sample, so integral to the original, makes its play at a stripped back breakdown. Hitting its stride once more in the third movement, rhythm and melody combine to find Alex Vidal's "Micromegas" remix showcasing an array of production skills in a mature and sculpted production.
