Techno - Sets

Even though Belgian born Ahl Iver only witnessed the 90’s as a young kid, his music is reminiscent of the creative enthusiasm that is synonymous with that period. From an early age he started producing encouraged by his perpetual love of music. While still in college he worked on honing his craft until one day Amelie Lens put out a call for demo’s. Ahl Iver took this as his cue to sent out his music for the first time. Out of thousands of submissions Lens immediately heard something that stood out; it was a mixture of higher BPM’s, tough sound design with a melodic edge and carefully programmed rhythms. One thing led to another and he signed his first vinyl EP on Lenske Records. His thunderous kick drums, fast acidic sequences and rave stabs were soon after heard across the world’s most influential dancefloors. A second contributed on to the label’s first VA would follow quickly while he also provided an original track to the Fabric Presents mix series curated by Lens. As a consequence of the excitement that he received for his productions by the public, bookers also picked up on him and he was able to make his international debut as a DJ. With recent bookings for Fabrik Madrid, Rex Club in Paris and Gewölbe in Cologne he demonstrated that not only his productions will have a dancefloor enthralled but his DJ sets as well. Ahl Iver only scratched the surface of his potential so far so keep your eyes and ears open for what undeniably will be a bright future for this young man.

For @xnikolina, self-expression was always connected to music. Raving the front row, she started to become more and more interested in the other side and being behind the decks, which eventually led to her taking the opportunity to learn how to DJ herself. By being a part of the NAKT-Family from the very start, she was surrounded by many creative minds of the Berlin techno scene, which encouraged her to take the next step and play in front of a crowd. Since then, she was able to develop her very own sound, which creates the unique atmosphere NIKOLINA stands for. Her melodic, epic techno could already be experienced at the NAKT raves all summer, but her career is just taking off, and she has also gained experience in other clubs throughout Germany. In her sets, NIKOLINA mixes hard techno and mesmerizing sounds to create a story that pulls the listeners into her spell. It‘s a story of past dancing nights and unforgettable club memories.

Hey, my name is Kalmi Kovacs but I am known as KALMIKVCS and I’m one of the young new artists emerging from Hungary based in Budapest. I’m 22 years old but I became interested in music, especially in hardtechno and schranz when I was 16 and it has been a big part of my life ever since. In Budapest I’ve played in all the current major clubs like Akvárium, Arzenal, Dark 9, Playground, but I’ve also played in severeal bigger cities in Hungary like Győr, Szeged, Debrecen. I can say that I rapidly evolved into the nightlife of Budapest.
 
My sets are characterized by fast mixing and hard beats. My goal is to bring back the good old classic hard vibes. 
Good music is relative, but I can confidently say that my selections are strong and made up from quality tracks. On stage, I always strive to give the audience the best I can.
I build up my sets from the tighter, more elegant hard techno to the crazy schranz, which I enjoy immensely while I'm doing it, I'm captivated by the music.
