To close the year 2021, Oddity presents the long awaited various artists, Odd Echoes vol. 5, loaded with hypnotic melodic cuts from new and returning artists.

The V.A, showcases the label's cohesive, yet diverse and evolving melodic sound, with a number of artists brought together to create this magical journey.

Opening the V.A label boss Fur Coat delivers a new collaboration with Alfa Romero, introducing us to the construction of the deepest, most ethereal and melodic sounds, where artists like Adamant, Baime, aacht, Esoteric Circle and Andrea Martini show a coherent crescendo in the timeline of the compilation.

Continuing the story, we can see new names joining the record label like Casper Cole, Rinzen, Jos & Eli, delivering some diverse melancholic yet euphoric cuts.

Digging further into the compilation, sounds like those of the collaboration of Jonas Saalbach and Tantum, or the originals by Remcord, Lexer, SOEL, 19:26, Beswerda, Sascha Breamer bring a touch of darkness that transport us to another dimension in sound.

Last but not least, Aalson, The Element MT, Daijan ft. Running Pine, Black Peters and Jody Barr, present some closing-oriented emotional cuts, with some of them including some breaks or experimenting with some unique synths and textures, to ensure the perfect closure to this story we call Odd Echoes.

It’s time for another heavyweight remix on Spectrum as the bossman Joris Voorn steps up with an almighty reboot of fellow Dutchman Mees Salomé - ‘Fools Paradise’.

Released exactly a year ago, the original was a deep, floaty and introspective affair released on Songspire. Now comes the reload. Boosted in energy, width and drive – in that classic emphatic way that Joris has made his signature over the years - but maintaining the emotion, sentiment and delicate tone of Celine Cairo’s beautiful vocal, it flips perspective on Mees’s original while paying full respect to soul and meaningfulness, taking it from a mid-set breather and moment of reflection to a peaktime flash of euphoria and positivity.

Just in time for Miami and the start of festival season, Joris’s remix follows Mees’s remix of Voorn’s own ‘Ryo’ released two years ago. We hope this complementary reboot relationship continues to blossom in the future…

To start the new year with a big bang, we proudly present a very special track for our 11th journey on Future Romance!

None other than Einmusik and Solee, two of the most authentic and experienced artists both with impressive careers as producer, live act, dj and label owner in the worldwide melodic house & techno scene join their forces. In german summer 2022 the two met again during a performance in Berlin and went afterwards in Einmusik´s studio. After a little jam session the idea for a cooperation was born and only a few days later "Mariposa" arose. In the meantime the track has been road-tested at many shows from both artists and is now ready to release.
As expected "Mariposa" brings us pure festival feelings, magical melodies in combination with a deep bassline, driving elements and a good portion of bliss!

Then emerges from the imagination this precious myriad of waves and colors that only nature has the secret.

With important releases on the Clash Lion imprint he runs with Terr and Daniel Watts, adding to a body of work for Ellum, Truesoul and Hotflush it is fair to say Shall Ocin is widely respected as an artist. Staying true to the original Shall’s cavernous Icon Remix ramps up the intensity taking by Icon deep into the clubs giving DJs yet another powerful tune for their arsenal.

Fur Coat’s Oddity label starts 2021 with a fresh edition of the acclaimed various artists “Odd Echoes Vol.4”. This instalment showcases some artists that are already known to the label, as well as many new additions to the family.

Fur Coat’s commitment to their label over the last few years has seen the imprint amass a dedicated following and an ever growing list of respected and lauded releases. Utilising their Various Artists compilations, the duo have unearthed some extremely exciting talent in this world and given emerging artists a platform to exhibit their craft.

Diving into the package we are greeted with the melodic and emotional sounds that Oddity has their recognisable stamp. Its clear though that each artist involved has developed their own signature sound and presents something unique to the VA. The first half is formed of well crafted tracks which ease us into the sound. Tracks the build and develop over time and help to kick start out musical exploration.

In true Oddity style the second half of the package leans towards darker and more driving pieces. Casting the listeners mind to the dancefloors which the tracks were meant to be played on. Its a VA formed of 21 original tracks mostly from first timers on the label, that all together solidify the identity of the series and sound of Oddity.

Stepping up for @oddityrecordings' next release is emerging melodic techno talent Coeus. He is no stranger to the label run by @furcoatmusic, having contributed to the latest Odd Echoes V.A and remixing EarthLife's "Italia". This time he presents a three-track EP, joined by the duo Alfa Romero on remix duties.

Serbian based Coeus has been steadily amassing support and can already claim that names such as Tale Of Us, Solomun, Adriatique, Dixon and more are behind his music. He played the piano from a young age and this early understanding of melody seeps into his music now. Characterized by deep melodic progressions he has forged a unique sound in this space. 

The title track “Echoes” opens the package. It's everything you would come to expect from the Serbian, built on a drive drum track, the track is highlighted by a beautifully evolving synth line throughout. It takes you on a journey throughout and keeps the ear hooked.

Originally from Paris, Kalsx spent his youth learning violin and music theory in a conservatoire. In fond of science and artificial intelligence, he soon discovers a new interest for electronic music, which he appreciates both the abstract aspect and the countless possibilities it offers.

As time goes by, he is progressively driven by a strong desire to create and starts writing his first compositions at the age of 22. Inspired by several movements derived from techno music and his classical background, Kalsx develops a deep and eminently melodic style with pronounced psychological patterns. His music is the result of a work of introspection, between dreams and illusions.
