Joining our ever-increasing release archive this April, Stuttgart duo Tomi&Kesh make their joint debut on Black Seven Music alongside fast-rising Venezuelan talent, Santiago Bejarano. Heavily regarded by many in the Tech House universe, the Nozzo frontmen are known for their distinctive and captivating audio signature - which is out in full force for ‘Timeless Sound’. Joining them on the release are our trusty chieftains, BRODYR and Libero label boss Luke Welsh.

Opening with the Original Mix - a track full of gusto and cadence - ‘Timeless Sound’ definitely sets out to do what it says on the box. Drawing noticeable inspiration from iconic vocal house cuts of days gone by, it blends old and new school groove-driven house music. Comprising layers of percussive flair that sit above a catchy sub-bass melody and punchy kicks, this is terrace-ready Tech House at it’s finest.

Kicking on, brothers BRODYR serve up an electrifying re-do of the original cut. It comes with a keen focus on roaring low-frequency rumble and climatic builds - met with appropriate force, throwing you deep back into the groove time and time again.

Closing the show in a big way, Libero’s Luke Welsh delivers a stripped-back rendition worthy of any packed basement dancefloor. Bursting at the seams with attitude and insatiable appeal, it’s fat-bottomed persona makes it virtually impossible not to move. Bringing to the table a robust remix, crammed wall to wall with groove and energy, and a firm reminder of why he is on a steep trajectory within the UK scene (and further afield).

Quite possibly the most notorious release to hit our catalogue thus far, LA based Tech Avenue present the Stuttgart duo Tomi & Kesh and Italian rising star Alessandro Diruggiero. Heavily regarded by many in the Tech House universe, the ‘Nozzo’ party front men have been hailed for their distinctive and captivating audio signature - which has garnered the attention of many of the industry’s big hitters. 

Since forming, the Tech House pair has gone on to release with a wealth of highly commended imprints. EPs on Deeperfect, Kaluki, Under No Illusion, NoExcuse, La Pera, SK Recordings and more have seen their music championed by the likes of Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, Steve Lawler, wAFF, Dennis Cruz among others. Outside of the studio, Tomi & Kesh are constantly building on their reputation - frequently supporting some of the most popular artists in today’s underground dance music world across some of Europe’s most favored club spaces. They have appeared alongside Paco Osuna, Davide Squillace, Neverdogs, Marco Faraone and many more, with the list of impressive clubland features growing year on year.

"Keep the E" gets off to an energetic start, with an array of pounding drum work and swingy grooves. Its rolling sub-bass takes you on a journey whilst a hip-hop vocal hook cuts through the heavy flow. "U Did Me Wrong” follows with a  jacking flow, energetic female vocal hook, and a pristine sounding snare top combo. Both tracks are ripe for the peak segment.

However, if that's not enough, the big surprise on this release is the appearance of Bulgarian born Alessio Bianchi. The boys of Tech Avenue were nothing but ecstatic upon hearing that Alessio would be contributing a remix.  Alessio has seen support from DJs like wAFF, Luigi Madonna, Neverdogs, Stefano Noferini, Joseph Capriati, Joey Daniel, Antonio Pica, Marco Faraone, Sebastian Ledher, Paco Osuna, OXIA and many more.

Spanish DJ and producer, Bassel Darwish, makes his debut on Pirate Copy’s Kaluki Musik this month, with brand new EP; ‘Breath’. The Barcelona based artist has been dropping beats on some of the scene’s most acclaimed labels including Solid Grooves, Moan, Stereo, Great Stuff and Roush and he is a regular fixture in the Dance charts with heavyweight support from Marco Carola, wAFF, Dennis Cruz and Stefano Noferini to name a few. Kicking things off, lead track, ‘Breath’ is a grooving Tech House jam with chunky drums, bouncing b-line, rising synths and a hooky vocal throughout. ‘Like This’ completes the EP, packed with more punchy, syncopated bass rhythms giving the track an effortless groove and shuffling drums which pave the way for hypnotic looped vocals and playful percussion providing a tribal underground vibe.

Bassel Darwish - Like This

The next release on Black Seven Music comes fresh out of the imprint’s very own studio, with frontmen BRODYR delivering their inaugural EP on the label. Featuring two freshly-squeezed originals from the duo, their ‘Got It’ EP also comes equipped with a remix feature from one of the UK’s hottest prospects in that of Libero Records boss, Mike Morrisey.

Rolling a sturdy bed of rhythm straight through the front door, ‘Got It’ opens in spirited fashion - with a tonal-heavy groove and rich percussion from the first bar. Beyond that, the track modulates through the gears with soft synth lines and injections of offbeat shuffle. Transitioning with great purpose, the climactic stages of the track offer an expanding vocal hook - complementing the harmonics and energy of the track. Essentially, a rising and striking terrace weapon that inspires the need to dance with relative ease.

Mike Morrisey’s archetypally standout remix of ‘Got It’ comes as no surprise in terms of quality and potency. Robust low frequencies drive the track forward and fuel the perpetual energy that rings throughout. Layers upon layers of masterfully constructed percussive factors piercingly creative FX shots complement the minimalism in the low-range of the track, creating an enjoyably balanced mix of oomph and sway. Yet another fine display from the young Mancunian, who is quickly running out of sleeve space for stripes earned.

Completing the release, the riveting ‘Bring It Back’ is a diversified number with a classic House feel to it. Sweeping sub-bass notes and bright synth sequences add to its feel-good allure, which bounces perfectly off a punchy beat structure. Atmospheric use of fx gives the track a vast and wide feel to its transitional sections, before stuffing you back into the groove again - laced with a catchy vocal hook.

BRODYR - Got It (Mike Morrisey Remix)

ow-Grooves linked artist Alexic Rod has put his name into the Minimal-Tech circuit with several bangers on well-known labels such as Manitox, NOEXCUSE or Lemon-aid Music. With a constant search looking for new vibes this amazing producer has another interesting AKA, Colombo, releasing interesting broken beat cuts. Title cut, 'Hey' opens with a tribal percussion that sets a perfect vibe for those open-air terrace venues. With a phrenetic drum roll and a nice soulful vocal 'Hey' is an absolute winning horse. Next up, 'You're Pushin' a Broom' has an astonishing old school broken beat and a hip-hop infused MC vocal. As icing on the cake, 'Bakaru' closes things in style following the previous tech-groove with nice peak time moments.
