To this week's start I can present you with great happiness a mix which I have been looking forward to for quite some time, because I am pretty much a fan of the artist. Pat Le Mandragore, a quite fantastic Dj in my view, who plays psychedelic music that always sounds innovative and creative and in any case has his own rather grandiose sound, has recorded a wonderful fluffy mix especially for you, which makes your start of the week more comfortable in any case and should also improve your mood significantly, because as always you hate no Mondays you hate capitalism.
So just turn it on, listen and enjoy.

Vicious Cactus is Vincent T.’s psychedelic music project created in 2015.
This projects brings together several cultures : Techno, Dark Progressive Trance and Hip-Hop / Bass Music.

Born in the Northeast of France, at the border between France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, Vincent discovers a taste for electronic music while attending to a concert of Noisia, the pioneer of Drum & Bass, at a festival in Nancy.

In 2005, Vincent receives his first machines. A synthesizer and a Korg Electribe drum machine. His first step in musical creation is inspired in its composition by DnB. Then, in 2008 comes his first performance at the end of year party of the Art high school.

In 2011, Vincent starts to get into mixing, making mostly DnB. He tackles Progressive Trance in 2012, shortly before the creation of the “ Namek Sound RAV’olution “ crew, where he acts as vice-president. The Crew, coupled with a Sound System, is centered around psychedelic culture.

In 2015, Vincent starts computer-assisted music production. Some months later, Insonitus Records offers him to join the England-based label. Since then, Vincent has installed his acoustically-treated studio, and played his Dark-Prog project thirty times. 5 releases these three last years, including the one for Hadra Festival, where Vicious Cactus is invited to play at the 2018 edition. Lucky enough to have been able to extend his performances beyond the great East of France, to Luxembourg, Belgium, Norway and Switzerland.

Vincent created his own style, with a psychedelic and organic feel. Having diverse influences from around the musical world, he gets you introduced to his Universe, mixing fat, groovy rhythms to mental and psychic sonorities while still hinting at pre-techno music.

Kalumet (aka Ork Monk aka Trevor McGregor aka Arboraetum aka Tiger Punch) is Zoltan Vajda from Hungary. 
One of the oldschool master of storytellers of the psychedelic trance scene. He got involved in the mid 90’s, early enough to see the spreading of trance worldwide, to witness its transforming through the 00’s to our present time. Considering this kind of possession of psychedelic experience, one can never be in doubt to have a very special time when he is playing, be it live act or DJ set.

His musical history goes back to late 80’s, when he grabbed his first accords on the guitar. The bass guitar came in a few years later, and his world of sounds slowly got a shape, influenced by Joy Division, The Clash, Suicidal Tendecies / Infectious Grooves, L.A. Style, The Overlords, U96, Kraftwerk, Front Line Assembly, Yello, Gabor Szabo, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Korai Öröm, Hardfloor, Emmanuel Top, the Ninja Tunes like Herbalizer and Coldcut, Morcheeba, then Green Nuns Of The Revolution, Quirk, X-Dream, Four Carry Nuts, the Matsuri, Dragonfly and Spirit Zone releases, Audio Active, Black Star Liner, Korsakoff, then in the beginning of the last decade, by early Iboga, ZMA, CreamCrop, Disham and Son Kite, and maybe most of all, the traditional / folk music of the whole world.

Having a wide musical culture like this, he never kept his imagination on a short leash. In fact, he is mostly known from his unmistakable manner of creating free-form fusion dance music. Since his first remix in 1998 until this 2018, he released more than hundred tracks on many labels from Chi Recordings through Kagdila, Psylife Music, BrainBusters to Horns And Hoofs, Random Records or Sangoma, he represents a very wide range of styles.

Under different names such as Ork Monk, Trevor McGregor, and Tiger Punch, he traveled through half of the world to perform in special places like a cinema in Donetsk, a laundry in Cologne, a bowling alley in Tokyo, in the catacombs of Buda Castle, in the middle of Kanchanaburi lake near Bangkok, the mountains of Transylvania and Bulgaria, the forests of Lithuania and northern Russia, the magical beaches of Koh Phangan, jungles of Brazil, clubs of Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, London and Moscow, main stages of Ozora, Lost Theory, chill out areas of Boom, Voov, MODEM, Sonica… Eight years ago arrived to Malta to find out what the story is there.
