SummerLove2014 Mix

A cold, midnight harp threads the hook while the 808 hits like a door slam—wide, distorted tail with tight control in the lows. Loud, ticking hats and a cracking snare keep the pocket mean; space between notes lets the harp feel ominous instead of pretty. Minimal melody, maximum threat. 125 BPM • F minor for chesty flows and room to ad-lib.

Inspired by the luscious vocals of the original track, I decided to opt for a more gentle, chilled-out vibe for this remix. Throughout the process my head kept trying to make the tune "more bangin" or "more psychedelic" but my heart kept telling me to just dial it back, be vulnerable, let the vocals set the mood and the tone, and don't try to force it into something it doesn't want to be. 

So this is what came out! I hope you enjoy, let me know what you think <3
