Even when you know that a relationship is over and you truly believe that the best thing to do is to move on, there still comes a period (at least in my own experience) where you feel almost like you’re stuck in time. You want to keep going, and move on with your life, but at the same time, you’re really not sure if you can. Inspired by the luscious vocals of the original track, I decided to opt for a more gentle, chilled-out vibe for this remix. Throughout the process my head kept trying to make the tune "more bangin" or "more psychedelic" but my heart kept telling me to just dial it back, be vulnerable, let the vocals set the mood and the tone, and don't try to force it into something it doesn't want to be.
