Being alone is generally considered a bad thing, though that is not always the case. Taking some time just for yourself can let you see things in a different way, things you never imagined. In that sense, this song isn't supposed to sound depressing at all - while it may give a slight feeling of unease, or mystery - : It feels like you are walking alone on a foggy road, completely safe, convinced that no threats are lurking around, so your thoughts can wander as you move forward.

From all the musics I uploaded, this one is my oldest creation.

Alone

For this one, I wanted to get a kinda joyful song, inside a gloomy and slightly menacing environment. Flirting with death and creatures of the night is never fully reassuring, yet they keep fascinating us. It was called "Waltz with the Undeads" at first, I thought it could fit for a dance between ghosts and humans, for example... The main chorus has a bit of a "dancy" feel, in my opinion.

Is it still love if you can't feel or see the other ?

An other heavy rock track, filled  with some "horror-ish" atmosphere I like to add in my songs. Still, I don't know if I am any good at it yet o/

I tried to give the lead guitar a spectral sound. I feel it blends nicely that way when it play together with the choirs.

Speaking about the choirs, they really don't sound how I wanted, but I tried many other samples and all without success, so in the end, I just went with what i thought was the possible best =/]]

Mixing this track has been hell, I still don't think i did it properly.

Journey's End II

Rock theme with a boss fight idendity.

The 3 final notes of each choruses (Or chori ? I.. don't... know \°-°/) seems to say "Maaaake meeeee screaaaaamm"... do you hear it too ?

A mysterious  and weird theme, with some rock thrown in for good measure(To break the tempo, in fact.)

What if we had a reset button ? Something to erase any mistakes, to start fresh again, and make things turn out better ? Sounds appealing...

But can such a life be meaningful ? No consequences, no tension, just act as you want, and turn back time as you want. A shameless parody... With such a power, will the best come out ouf humans... or the worst ?

Despite the temptation, I think I'd prefer to live with the thrill of "no turning back", having to face myself and my actions...

"Fallen, broken. Just an empty shell, teeming with distorted feelings, sowing destruction.

Now mad with anguish, she lusts for salvation, something that can't be achieved by gentle methods anymore... Let's give in to her last wish."

I went for an oppressive theme, though it turned out to be rather melancholic and less threatening in the later parts, before the loop.

That theme was made to fit in a fight against a powerful nemesis. Not someone evil, but more like a twisted, lost one, who went too far in the dark.

Is putting an end to her misery an act of kindness, or just convenience ? Pain, pity and disgust are churning in my head. What if I'm unable to press the trigger ?

By the way, the amygdala is a part of the brain linked to our most primitive emotions and reactions, mainly fear, anxiety and pleasure. Imagine what could happen if such a structure goes haywire. I find all that stuff to be quite fascinating !

Lady Amygdala

Powerful, threatening theme. It was more than halfway through when a really hard event occured for me. Though it didn't affect the completion of this track, i can never listen to it without reminiscing that time... x')

Quite dark and heavy, making you shout your hatred and misery. Even with that, the chorus is still a bit more upbeat and hopeful. Cause if we don't cling to whatever hope we have remaining, there is no point, heh ?

Black Blood Drain

The title is french for "Something Ideal". It's a rough translation though, as one would say "Quelque chose d'idéal" in correct french. The reason for all that is the title is an anagram.

Is it a melancholic or relaxing theme ? I can't choose between those two. I guess they can both co-exist at the same time... It all depends on your state of mind : "your ideal".

Oneirophagia

Haunting and mysterious track, but also relaxing, in a way. Is it to point "That's what matters" or to ask "What really matters ?"

That is up to you really.

I like to compose that kind of music, where the mood can be hard to describe. I almost never intend them to be fully depressing or ominous, as adding mixed feelings in my tracks is something I like to do ;)

This one has vibes from "Silent Hill", as Yamaoka is one my many great influences. I always admired the atmosphere he managed to create with his music, and tried to work this song in a similar way ~
