Knife presents the podcast 188 by Rubén Seoane, producer and Dj resident in Moog Bcn. THE ARTIST:
Symvolia is an Italian producer and DJ, whose project aims to treat music as a medium for inner exploration. Guided by a deep passion for cinema and dark ambient music, he seeks to transcend conventional boundaries, sculpting soundscapes that weave together orchestral grandeur, raw noise and the resonance of ancient drums. His inspiration stems from ritual energy, blending cinematic depth with echoes of forgotten traditions, inviting the listener on a journey toward surrendering the senses, to the essence of the true self.

French producer, DJ and live act Substencia fuses cinematic lullabies and noise collages with destructive drum patterns to shape her dark, intricate sound. Since 2017, she has been releasing EPs, remixes, and compilations on labels like Kallkällan, Tjalk, Mutant Modality, Glanz Und Elend or Venaeform, earning support from international artists. Performing across Europe, she had the opportunity to play DJ sets and live acts in Germany, Belgium and Spain. Since 2021, she has been part of the post-industrial noise duo Kabocha. Recently she launched Rust, a webzine dedicated exclusively to alternative electronic music, with interviews, music reviews, and more.
