What does 24 hours of writing music sound like? In December 2020 Hybrasil introduced his Hybrasil24 Project in collaboration with Beatport. Hybrasi24 is a test of endurance, creativity and improvisation. Over the course of 24 hours, Hybrasil wrote, recorded and produced music live from his Berlin Recording Studio (HBL Studios). The idea was to test the limits of creativity in a confined space for an extended period of time with the best compositions from the live broadcast to be released on the Hybrasil label as a concept release. The 11th release sees the first compositions from that project emerge. 

Creative Process:
Hybrasil24 is a 360 creative concept, all writing, recording, sound engineering, production, post-production, mixing and mastering conducted by Hybrasil. This process draws from every facet of his recording career, from his time as a sound engineer working with vintage recording consoles to his solo studio works with vintage drum machines, synths and samplers. Hybrasil24 brings all of these worlds together

Launched in January 2022, DSC (Deepak Sharma Collection) is a new digital series where Deepak will be releasing an individual track each month.

The project materialized from the pandemic as an outlet to keep busy and sane from the isolation. From fresh material to digging into the vault and editing older sketches, everyone was fair game.

The result is a collection of varied works where the sound is consistent with what Deepak is known for: stripped down, rolling, and hypnotic atmospheres ideal for dark dance floors which he missed both as a DJ and as a dancer.

Pekin to DJ i wielki pasjonat techno, które traktuje nie tylko jako pojęcie gatunku muzycznego, ale wręcz sposób na życie: jego celebrację, poczucie wspólnoty, źródło niespożytej energii i radości, fundamentu przyjaźni. Jacek pochodzi z Kwidzyna, najczęściej grywa w zaciszu domowym, ale ma za sobą również występy festiwalowe: np. podczas polskich edycji Mayday czy Nature One. Za deckami stoi od wczesnych lat 2000, od początku zasmakował w stylistyce techno, ale zdarzało mu się grać również rasowy progressive. Dziś jego ulubionym nurtem jest dalej techno, choć to aktualne zmusza go do refleksji czy w dobrym kierunku zmierza muzyka która przygrywała mu większość życia. W dobie szybkiego techno które wraca na salony dalej stara się mieć ciekawe numery i pomysł na granie, fabułę i przejścia, a sety planować tak by dało się je słuchać jak muzyki nie koniecznie imprezowej. Kolektyw Pekina pod nazwą Lost Sound to m.in. szereg niezliczonych, undergroundowych imprez, w tym m.in. z Brytyjczykami ze SPEKTRE czy Thomasem Schumcherem z Berlina.

I started my adventure with mixing electronic music a few years before I played for the first time in front of an audience. It started with playing Traktor with a Vestax controller. I learned how to play by myself, watching performances of famous DJs on Youtube and the first successful, recorded set encouraged my desire to go in this direction. Playing to four walls and for a small group of friends became my hobby, but somewhere I secretly hoped that someday I would play for a larger group of listeners. I invested in better and better equipment, I especially loved the Xone mixers, but at the same time I was learning to play on other mixers to get to the club standard.
I was offered my first performance in front of an audience at the end of 2021 during a conversation with a friend from the Kombinat collective. It was supposed to be a Halloween performance at a party where Weikum himself was supposed to play, and although it was a pressure, I agreed right away. After this performance I got a lot of praise for the selection of songs and the energy I created on the dance floor, it gave me a huge kick to play more and more. That's how a year and a half passed during which I had the opportunity to play in many top clubs in Warsaw.
I usually create my sets spontaneously, but I always focus on building a set that has an atmospheric beginning, engaging, energetic development and ending with a hint of nostalgia.
I am delighted to be invited to share my set on the Luzztro Records podcast, it is an incredible honor and thank you for this opportunity. I hope that my set will give you a lot of euphoria and energy. See you somewhere on the musical trail!
