Danish artist Be Svendsen combines once more with the Crosstown Rebels crew, following on from his emphatic NU 'Man O To' remix, which landed in late February. The latest collaboration comes in the form of the new 'Twilight in Tankwa' EP, it comes with two original cuts as well as a remix from Berlin native Nico Stojan. Lasse Bruhn Svendsen ,as he's known to his friends and family, has been a proponent of refreshing electronic music since his emergence in 2014 and the work he started continues with yet another special record. The title track is a slow-winding groover that's coated with intricate melodic touches, while an engrossing atmosphere rotates around a punchy drum ensemble. Weird Sounding Dude's "Arcade" EP on Juicebox Music, released earlier this year, received high acclaim and praises by his industry peers, thanks to the unique & versatile sounds that he's cemented as his new signature. The ongoing success subsequently lead to his music being released on Toronto's Deep House imprint - Dream Culture, Montreal based - Strange Town Recordings and Norman H's fantastic - Stripped Recordings, with more on it's way. We revisited the "Arcade" EP and gave it a sonically wide-range remix treatment from - Subandrio, Terje Saether, Esensides, Nomad In The Dark, Pro4ound and an alternate mix from Weird Sounding Dude himself.

To remix the title track "Arcade", we invited someone special and one we've always been a fan of - Ephraim Dean, aka ‘Nomad In The Dark'. Noted & picked as Sasha's Breakthrough Producer/DJ back in 2009 (DJ MAG), his music has also been donned by John Digweed, Pete Tong, Nick Warren & Hernan Cattaneo as well. Currently based in Asheville (North Carolina), but having lived in South Asia & Africa, his style is a collage of his influences - minimal, bold & fresh. He approaches "Arcade" with that motto, adding a hint of vintage-tonality as an underlying bed as the original lead shines through.

Ewan Rill & K Loveski are no strangers to The Soundgarden. After their star turn on the label’s Winter Collection in 2019 and an appearance on Nick Warren’s acclaimed Balance compilation, the dynamic duo make their full debut on The Soundgarden with their swaggering three-track EP, ‘Made in Goa’.

The title track serves as the opener, bringing with it a deceptively catchy refrain and a veritable melee of sharp kicks and cracking snares. It’s an up-tempo offering from the pair and one that sets the mood for an EP that’s guaranteed to keep you grooving until we’re able to hit the dancefloors again. 
‘Chamundi’ is up next, and with it comes a pulsating bass line and an airy synth sound that leads into a tantalisingly teased – and beautifully constructed – drop. It’s then left to ‘Napud Chamra’ to finish proceedings, and it does so with a magnificent combination of melodic flair, spoken word samples, and timeless House beats. It’s a stylish end to a stunning EP and another stellar release from Warren’s globe-straddling The Soundgarden label and events brand.
