The casting call was posted on Moby’s Facebook and included some very specific extras, "S&M gimp rhythmic gymnast", "eight roller-skating ghosts", "12 goth choir members", "2 obese bearded bikers in red speedos", "a punk rock brass brand" and " a drunk king: guy with beard age 35-50".

”No Control” by Arp XP & Reza featuring Kayka is deep, dark and brooding. Rolling beats and super low sub are laced with Kayka's haunting vocal to devastating effect. A favourite of Lenzman's and featuring in many of his sets, this is a highly anticipated release and one that's guaranteed to get heads nodding and feet moving.

”Unknown Feeling” by Reza is a dubbed out minimal journey into drum and bass. Melancholy chords combine with snippets of vocal and a sparse break, which are all underpinned by the weightiest of basslines. With two tracks of this quality it's no wonder this release is a double A side.

Bluetech returns with a new single "Echoes of Orion" featuring the legendary Laika the Cosmonaut. The track takes us on a mesmerizing journey through the cosmos, with Laika exploring new galaxies and encountering luminous entities and undiscovered worlds. As a parable of transformation and change, Laika's story is a fitting voice for these times, and Bluetech is proud to continue her narrative.

This single also features two fantastic remixes by Misled Convoy and Somatoast, each adding their own unique touch to the track. This is one of those tracks that seems to hold a lot of memories for people I think, having been a significant mainstream track when it was released in 2002, and also a beautiful piece of music by any standards - it's one of those ones you may not remember from the name, but when you listen the riff and vocal (by none other than Hafdis Huld) it's unmistakable. It even reached no. 49 in the UK charts according to Wikipedia, so I'm officially remixing pop music now (sort of). As with some of my other recent remixes, there was no need (and I probably would have found it impossible anyway) to improve on the track melodically, as it's pretty close to perfection in that sense. I just tried to update the style of it, with some glitchy detailed drums, a sort of dubstep-ish influenced beat structure, a long evolving build throughout, and some distortion. This is being released on the legendary Skint records too, which I'm quite excited about.
