1988 was a good year for Hip Hop. Recorded from vinyl 12", this killer tune has a rare groove flavour accompanied by a pounding beat and strong lyrics from Big Lady K. The instrumental version was used in the opening music for tv programme Behind the Beat hosted by Normski.

Big 80's tune! Saw her perform this live at Soul Society @ Pulse. She's as good live as the record. Taken from her 'Come Into My Life' LP on Sleeping Bag/London Records, 1987. Produced by Mantronix.

1986 US vinyl 12". Hip hop classic from Kool G Rap & DJ Polo. One of dj Gary T's favourite tunes from back in the day.

An awesome tune with a summer vibe. Released in September 1999 on UK Vinyl 12". Danny Rampling opened a live radio session from Ibiza with this Farley & Heller remix back in the day.

Black Science Orchestra ft Alison David - Sunshine (Faith On Sunday Vocal Mix)

Woudy Hughes played one of the funkiest basslines ever on this track. Sampled by EPMD - it's my thang and various other Hip Hop artists.

Tyrone Thomas & The Whole Darn Family - Seven minutes of funk

Rare and very sought after 45. A modern soul room floor filler.

Wanda McDaniel & the Ultimate Choice - Gangster Boy
